$150 Uke, $25 Electronics
At first I was overwhelmingly impressed with this uke. I have been playing for about a year and a half, and this is my third (and most expensive) uke that I have purchased. The body and fretboard are beautiful and the electronics look great too. The strings that come with the package are phenomonal as well. The geared tuners are impeccable and I've only had to tune it twice since the first time I got it. The sound is sweet but not as loud as I would have imagined it being. I had a cheap soprano that was much louder but the sound is extremely clean.I used a 20 watt $100 dollar amp and a decent $20 cord to play around with the electric side of the uke. It is incredibly fun and with distortion, this uke sounds just like a guitar. I'm not upset at all about the sound quality coming from an amp. I've used footpedals and everything with this uke and it is a blast..BUTThe bad: One of the strings buzzes wayyy too much. Its not incredibly noticeable, but for an advanced player, it will drive your ass nuts. The biggest problem of all though is the fact that I got this uke on 12/12/15 and as of 1/19/16 the electronics already do not work. I've changed chords, chamnged amps, and looked all over the internet for a solution. I am going to have to take it to a guitar store to get fixed already after 1 month. Additionally referring to the electronics, the pickup doesnt actually pick up all of the strings equally. The G and C string pick up loudly and it sounds great but the E (the one that buzzes) and the A string are significantly quiter. Finally, the pickup and electronics have rattled inside the body since the day I've unboxed it.I love the uke and the long fretboard and high-end strings make playing it a blast, but the electronics aren't top quality. I may have just gotten a poorly constructed one, but just beware before you buy that it might not hurt to save up a little money and get an electric uke that it reviewed higher, and has nicer electronics.

This would be a great ukulele if only the rattle from the electric components ...
This would be a great ukulele if only the rattle from the electric components were not present. Had to send it back.

This is a beautiful uke but it's not dark red like the picture
This is a beautiful uke but it's not dark red like the picture. It's more of a dark golden brown. But it has a great full sound and none of the strings buzz. Overall: it's gorgeous. Get one.

Beautiful ukulele; the sound is great! I've had it for weeks and it hasn't yet come out of tune, despite my constant playing.

Love the overall look and the sound
Love the overall look and the sound, but there are some issues with the fit and finish, particularly at the bridge. There are some rough edges, a couple of the holes where the knots at the end of the strings rest are off center, and the string slots area little tight. Also, the slot for the saddle is too wide, causing the saddle to rest at an angle instead of straight up and down. Like the previous reviewer, I also have some buzzing from the wires inside not being secured properly. The included gig bag with mine is functional, but just barely. Very little padding, and the material is pretty thin. I got this uke pretty deeply discounted (about $90, with shipping included) from another online store because of a slightly warped top and a little lifting at one corner of the bridge. In spite of all of the flaws, I'm pretty happy with the uke for the price I paid. I would have quickly returned it if I had paid full price for it though (about $180 at the time of this review).

Great little instrument!
I’ve played guitar for 30 years and this is my first ukulele. Wife bought it for me as a Christmas gift in 2017 with guidance from a mutual guitarist friend. No problems whatsoever. Good tone, stays in tune, intonation is spot on. No issues with fret, nut or saddle buzz. Electronics are mounted solidly. Geared tuning machines are great and the built-in tuner is really handy. Lots of fun to play and the fingerings are quite simple (with the exception of the “E” chord, I admit). The ukutabs.com website has been a great help. It has tips on setup and fixing string buzz although I’ve never had to deal with that on my instrument. Great ukulele for the price!

Many problems, bad instrument
I bought a new Gretsch G9110-L from Guitar Center but returned it due to multiple problems. A concave neck caused string buzz. Poorly finished fret ends irritated my fingers. The wire tie-down inside the body, adhered with double stick tape, came loose within a couple weeks. The nut top was flat, making point of contact with strings too large, which probably contributed to the buzz. The groove in the nut for the C string was not cut deep enough and the string kept popping out of the groove during playing. I will search for another A/E concert long neck as I like the body and neck size combination, but it sure won't be a Gretsch. This instrument seemed to be a "bargain" price initially, but in turned out to be an example of "you get what you pay for".
