Originally I positioned above my south facing garage door. Whilst amazingly bright they soon drain the battery over an evening even though they get reglar sunlight. The sensor is very sensitive and was constantly set off by pedestrians at the end of my 10m driveway and passing busses. The distance senstivity was eventually reduced by covering the upper part of the sensor with black tape. There are no other sensitivity or light level adjustment controls on this model.Eventually I got fed up with the 'close encounters of the 3rd kind' illumination effects at the slightest movements outside. I've now repositioned the lights facing down my side passage above my garden shed. This is good for charging as still south facing but is a perfect new location as it only detects unexpected movement coming towards it down a single width path. Our cat has also learned that it can switch on the lights on itself if it goes to sit outside at night. Finally all's well in LED land.

I bought this to replace a failed halogen unit and was a little sceptical that it would meet the challenge. My scepticism was totally unfounded as it provides an excellent field of cover with a very effective detection range far in excess of the original PIR device. The light quality is not as fierce as the halogen unit was but it certainly provides more than enough illumination for purpose. The mounting lugs seem slightly flimsy so I recommend using washers under the heads of the screws provided plus take care not to overtighten. I can't comment on durability as it's only been in place for a week. As for battery life, I have it set to motion detection only so I have no idea how long it would stay lit on the two 'on when dark' settings. Overall I would definitely buy again.

The solar light is really good when there has been plenty of sunshine; During the spring, summer & autumn it’s perfectly adequate and nice & bright, having had these up for the best part of 12 months, during the lower light winter days there’s not enough charge for the batteries to run for more than a couple of hours after dark. I’m going to see if I can replace the batteries so they last longer.

Lots of LEDs (118), meaning light illuminates our drive/alleyway satisfactorily. Good value, compared to similar lights with fewer LEDs.If I was being picky, I would prefer a slightly longer detection range, as it only seems to pick up someone approaching about 6 feet away (it's installed about 8 feet up a wall, with no obstructions either side or beneath).

I am extremely inspired by solar energy products. Since my birthday, my parents bought a few solar panels. And at the moment I still use what's on renewable energy. This solar projector is located in front of the girder and is very pleased with it. My moment of doing makes her feel very good. The brightness is wonderful. The motion sensor reacts at a distance of 6 meters. Plastic material is great and the lights have a good brightness. Plus, the length of the projector is quite large.

Its only fully charge if its turned off other wise will not last all nigth the motion detection is great but strong winds will set it of too
