SWI Parts T3 Fiberglass Turbo Shield Turbo Blanket High Temperature (Red)

Installed on my Vr6 turbo easily in 10min. (.63 A/R T40E) The housing would reach 650F after spirited driving, which would heat soak the whole engine bay. After install the surface of the blanket is only 180F, so I can actually touch it briefly. The engine bay is so much cooler, it's hard to believe. It probably reduced under hood Temps by 70%, no exaggeration. This is without a manifold or downpipe wrap either. Just this blanket.Only down side is it kind of "burns in" and smokes right after install. Kinda stinks. But this is to be expected with most any blanket of this type. Worth it for sure.

Fits great and looks good, easy to install, lowered the engine bay temps some by itself but not much. Did not come with the retaining springs as pictured, smells like burning plastic so far for 3 days hopefully that goes away... Probably won't be on the car long.

Okay if you don't install, remove, install again.Had it on for about 4 months on the same turbo.Swapped out the old turbo and installed a new turbo. The white fiberglass material inside was already spilling out.Have it currently on the car and it works fine, although had to restitch with wire
