My daughter loves it.
My daughter is grown up and wants to learn to how to code. She thought this would be a good way to start. She loves it and is learning how to code and having fun doing it. A great value.

Fun for the kids (and yourself)
Fun product. Early courses start with MCreator and the intermediate level introduced Java. The projects are creative, the explanation videos are well-produced, and the kids love them. Also fun for adults: try doing it alongside the kids and they will blow your mind on how fast they picked things you didn't even realized were there!

It is not a frendly program for kids to use...
My son is 10 years old and I purchased this program because it said that it was for kid and my son was already programing mods on his Minecraft tablet before I purchased the program and thought that he can learn more.. To set it up very difficult not kids friendly and even for me as his mom. And the tutorial from the help not even working. I spent $49.00 and it is the worst money that I have spent in a while... I wish I can have my money back!!! Elida.

What a great programming started for kids who likes Minecraft!
My daughter likes Roblox and my son LOVES playing Minecraft and I wanted to see how I can make them spend their time productively so decided to give CodaKid a try. I got Roblox course for my daughter and this Minecraft for my son. It was a bit uncomfortable for them to do "learning" instead of just "playing" at first, but after 2-3 times they really got soooooo into this. Unbelievable! Once my son realized what he can do with Minecraft from this course his interest change drastically (same was for my daughter with Roblox). He is learning Java while building his favorite sandbox games.... and also he brags to his friends that he's a "real developer" :)I don't blame him, kids really do things during this course like real developer - download, setup and use Eclipse and pinta, import resources and all other fun geeky stuff. This is by far the best self-paced course I've came across. We tried it all, tynker, kodable, etc... all of these were boring for them. CodaKid definitely got it figured out how to keep kids engaged! Really good balance of everything kids need - education, fun, humor and play. Could not wish for a better course.Oh, and by the way, their tech support is top-notch!

Cheaper than Tynker
Purchased this for an 8 year old. The box only contains the code. Keep in mind that you will need to create a CodaKid account. Initial set-up took awhile to set up, and required installment of multiple programs, but was quick to get started after that. Comes with lots of easy to follow instructional videos and lessons.

So much fun!
We bought this for my 9 soon to be 10 year old and its been fantastic. He is already familiar with minecraft so he was able to jump right in and start. I do suggest that your student or child having typing experience. This would speed up and make their pause times quicker with out having to go back often to copy the codes. My student had never typed before we tried this so we had to overcome that learning curve other wise the actual product is fantastic the lay out is genius and the tech support is quick if you have a question. All of the modules are left open so if you need to go back step by step directions are always available. We learned if you are wanting to just try it you can also pay monthly instead of buying the pack like this. The downside is you don't get the huge discount.

Code in box didn’t work
This product arrived damaged and open. We proceeded to follow the set up directions via the card in the box with the code for set up. It says the code does not exist. I am currently waiting to hear back from Codakid customer service and will up date this review with the outcome.
