I have been using this book for summer work. Stories are very good for this grade level. Great practice. Definitely recommend.

My kid struggles a little with comprehension, so we got this book as a review over the summer.. it is full of short passages and a few multiple choice questions on the opposite page. It is good for review and not complicated. My kid is actually a grade above the book level I got, and we are doing several passages at a time. It is not a huge book and it can be finished in a fairly short period of time. I have already gone ahead and ordered the next level comprehension book. It is the same format only with longer passages and questions that are less black and white.

Summer is the best time to enhance reading skills in prep for next grade.Doable & serves appropriate reinforcement of skills.

Wonderful! So simple- story on the left, questions on the right. Many questions require thought, not just reading back for the answer word for word.Short passages, only 4 questions, and a nice picture to color with each one!

This was worth every minute of the day, sitting down with my eight year old grand and reading these books, he did not have a reading issue, but a comprehension problem after reading these books he was able to answer all questions correctly and also verbally explain the story..

Helped my son extremely in developing better reading habits and questions at the end of each passage ensure understanding of passage. Questions are simple and straight to the point. Reading topics are also interesting. Will buy more book for summer.

I purchased this for a little extra work for my daughter to work on aside from home learning. It’s good practice & it is similar to the work she gets from school.
