The SOLUTIONS IN THIS BOOK DO WORK
I am always curious about one star reviews. Unfortunately for this book, the one star reviews were in relation to NOT getting the download. To me, this is sad because it is a reflection of the medium they tried to download to (maybe an issue with amazon) VS the actual content of the book.With that being said, let me just say that I am a medical professional. I bought this book for a relative who had extremely high blood pressure. I did a lot of research before i decided on this particular book. (I also bought another book and a blood pressure machine for use at home.)The truth is, buying this book or any book will not lower blood pressure. You have to read the book and apply the recommended solution.I gave the book version to my relative and got the kindle version for me. Upon initial research I found it to be good information but I wanted to read more. In reading the book I found that it is VERY SOUND information. It is well written in a user-friendly manner---really, what most people need.In checking in with my relative...it has been more than 30 days and his blood pressure is down to normal readings. This book does provide solutions, I will continue to recommend it to others.

It Works!
I have read and put into practice the advice offered in this book and I have already noticed a HUGE difference. I'm off all medication being on carvidiol for two years and larsortan for a year my BP without medication runs no in the low 130's over the low 70's or lower (average is 132/73 I was 150/80). I am sleeping better, dizziness all but gone and even walking and feeling great. Note: it took about 4 weeks of following Dr Derose's advice before noticing any changes. Before reading his book I had already started eating none meat items and cutting back on dairy and eggs. This does not happen overnight and is not a quick fix but a real achievable lifestyle that anyone who really wants to get off of the blood pressure meds and start living can do by using the advice offered in this book. It really is all just common sense. But if you still desire to hang on to your old destructive lifestyle habits that put you were you are today on multiple meds, feeling like shit looking even worse then this program will fail for you. Give it a try the Kindle download is just $5 what do you have to loose? I have ordered the hard book copy as well for $20 from his website compassministries.netPlease try, even if you walk away with a better understanding of what your body needs to better help the medication you are on its that much. Completely transformed our community.
This is one of the best books that I have ever read to help transform my lifestyle. Although I was previously following several of the suggestions in the book, I decided to use this as a community outreach program in our city. We had dozens of individuals attend and I said that I would go through the 30 day program with them. I figured, 30 days isn't that long to try something. The truth is, in that short amount of time we had several within our group seeing their blood pressure either normalize or drop to close to normal ranges. Some dropped 50 points and have been completely taken off of their blood pressure medications.For myself, I am sleeping better and have seen my blood pressure normalize. This book is just an incredible resource. If you are suffering from high blood pressure I cannot express how useful this book will be to you or your community. It's completely worth it's money!

Lifestyle and BP
This book has help me with my high BP readings. The authors' position is that lifestyle drives the blood pressure reading. They provide the information about which lifestyle habits are important to work on. 10 specific Behavioral goals are given and a full chapter is given to each which gives a good understanding of the how and why of each goal. I also like the detail given, especially with regards to food that have properties similar to medicine like for example rather then take an ACE Inhibitor eat some broccoli, spinach and garlic. A good source of magnesuim is Pumpkin seeds or Cabbage for potassium. A good book, I highly recommend it.

Worth reading
I have been interested in nutrition for a long time. I bought this book because I saw Dr DeRose on YouTube and was curious. His diet will be and is being very easy FOR ME to follow. Except Afrin, I don't use any meds at all. I quit eating red meat 20 years ago, I stopped eating dairy about 3 years ago, though I love cheese as much as I detest milk. I eat seafood only 3 or 4 times per month, I don't drink alcohol ( never have) and I don't smoke. I do eat greens and other vevgies and fruits every day. My BP is usually within the normal range EXCEPT when I eat out at a restaurant. If I go to a restaurant twice in a week, my BP will go from 120 to 160 or more. I have noticed that sodium elevates my BP mercilessly. One day prior to buying this book, I had checked my BP and it had gone up to 180, something that had NEVERever happened to me before. Then I remembered: On top of the two restaurants I had dined during the week, I had also visited a friend who had prepared huge ham sandwiches for us. I ate the sandwiches because the buns were whole wheat and because I love bread. Then I realized that only one sandwich must have had a minimum of 800 mgs of sodium, plus the damaging saturated fat. To make my story short: Sodium makes my BP go up high and very fast. By the way, as soon as I went back to my usual diet high in veggies and fruits, my BP started to go back down and was back to normal in three or four days. Will continue reading this book as well as my older books by Dr Fuhrman, will stay away from sodium and enjoy my Kale, spinach, onion, mushroom, bell peppers, cayenne pepper soup topped with delicious garlic. Still looking for healthy low sodium bread that is tasty. The only low sodium bread I have found so far is too grainy and dry. (Yes, yes, I know Dr Fuhrman doesn't want us to eat bread.) I know Dr DeRose's book will help me perfect my already pretty healthy diet.Warning: Beware of restaurants, never mind how much you like dining out: Sodium is lurking.

The nutritional advice in this book is extremely outdated and incorrect.
I got to page 82 and my BP was just getting higher the more I read. Once he got to the part where he's on a pro-vegetarian crusade, I began to have my doubts. Once he said we need to eat cholesterol-free food, I knew the guy is basing his plan on some very dodgy science that was long-since proved to be incorrect. As soon as he said that veggies are more nutrient dense than meat, I couldn't bear to read another word.Maybe if you're overweight, sedentary and living on takeaways, ready-meals, cookies and sandwiches, this book will help you adopt some healthier habits. His non-nutritional strategy seem sound but you must be aware that this book also contains some seriously dangerous misinformation and I suggest you look elsewhere for nutritional advice.

GOOD book
My partner bought this book as he has high blood pressure despite being vegetarian, exercising, not smoking or drinking etc so was curious what else he could do to help his situ in a natural way. Each chapter addresses a different topic and gives you various explanations where you could improve. Easy to read and I can only recommend it to anyone who is looking to reduce their blood pressure naturally. It is worth checking the author out on youtube as well if you are unsure about the purchase.

Good book lots of useful information and tips
Good book lots of useful information and tips, one of the better books l have read recently on this subject. I have started to follow some of the suggested lifestyle improvements,I am hopefull this will help me to improve my BP figures and reduce the medication that I am currently taking.
