Super educational product.
Bought this for my 9 year old grand daughter, so much more than just a globe. Quite amazing product, interactive ability means you can see all kinds of features, animals, birds, fish, mountains, forests, seas, etc. A wealth of information, very impressive.

Excellent Illuminated Globe
Bought for my youngest Granddaughter's school work. She absolutely loves it and has pride of place in her bedroom on her desk. The globe is illuminated and also has relief features on the globe to signify mountains, by touch. There is also a free laptop app for the globe, to allow interactive information when using it, which makes it even more useful when working with it.I would definitely recommend the purchase of this globe , to anyone with a child that has an inquisitive mind.

Globe works well - associated app does not.
The globe is reasonably sturdy. The base could be a little heavier to make it more stable. The installation of the two batteries requires the use of a small cross-head screwdriver. Fortunately, I have a set of jeweller's screwdrivers but might be tricky if you do not have something similar. The globe lights up with a political map. The results were dim when I used freshly charged rechargeable batteries and only visible in a totally dark room. Using alkaline batteries enabled the globe to be viewed properly in a daylight lit room. The biggest disappointment came when loading the app on my phone. It does not work on all versions of Android and so would not work on my tablet. It took a while to load and install and although I did not experience the problems with giving the password or selecting the language that others have reported, the app is atrocious. It is not really augmented reality as it just superimposes some graphic on top the view from the phone or tablet's camera with no reference to the position or orientation of the globe. The information portrayed by the app is limited and a very strange choice of subjects - relatively rare animals and unheard of explorers. A total waste of time and detracted from the pleasure of receiving the globe. The globe itself is satisfactory. Do not waste time loading the appalling app.

Great gift for 7 year old
My 7 year old niece absolutely loves this for her birthday gift. The raised geological feature is great and she has learnt loads from playing with it. The light feature works well. Looks good as well as fun to use. Would recommend for this age group

Okay globe, but light didn’t work, and broke
Okay little globe. Flimsy, internal light broke when it arrived, not working. Not terrible, but wouldn’t buy again if I was looking for a globe.

Shows both physical features and political features. Well made.
Very useful. It shows physical features and lights up to show the political map. The base could be a bit heavier and spin easier but otherwise well made. The larger version might be a bit easier to read. Overall very good. Children will find it useful.

Excellent value - surpassed expectation
Wanted a globe as my 4yr old had been learning about planets. Globe looks great lit up. A bit difficult to read some of the country names due to the size but as expected. The relief aspect is great for seeing the mountains. The app is also a great unexpected addition . The app is bit clunky and not that intuitive but once you get the hang of how it works the augmented reality is great - overlaying animals from various parts of the world and zooming them in and out on the iPad.Well worth the money imo.

Cheap rubbish
You get what you pay for - it’s cheap rubbish. Quality is rubbish. It doesn’t spin, except with some force. The method of adding batteries is really prone to damaging the globe, as it’s such poor quality. The writing is so dense you can barely read much of it. Downloaded the app which won’t work, and just keeps displaying random facts in broken English.I guess it’s subjective and I recall having a globe when I was younger, this does not compare at all.
