Chick o stick24 pack of 1oz Bars

I've always loved these. One day, out of nowhere, I got a craving and I came right to amazon (of course) to see if I could still find them. I don't see them at the grocery stores around here.I saw some complaints about the size. However, the ones I got were one ounce, just like it says in the description.My only complaint is that every single one of them was broken into at least two or three pieces. It's not the worst thing, as they are tasty, but I would prefer to have them arrive unbroken.The date on mine was less than two months out, so I was concerned about their freshness, but my concern was unfounded as they have been very fresh-tasting and crisp. I got them right into an airtight container so that they will stay fresh. If I didn't have airtight containers I probably wouldn't feel very comfortable about them not having a date further out.

Not as good as the ones I had from my childhood, these sticks where a little thinner and lighter in color. The ones I had as a child had more of a deeper orange color and more smoky sweet peanut butter flavor, however, it didn't stop me from consuming the whole box in couple of days.

I have a sweet-tooth for these things! As a kid, these were always one of my favorites, and after 49 years are still something I would pick up on occasion. But, I am tired of the high prices for candy these days, so I did a ton of research and found these here on Amazon.These cost less than half of what I was paying for them in the convenience stores. Most of those stores, at least in my area, carry the larger 2 oz. size. These are much thinner and half the length and while listed at 1 oz. "bars" are actually a little less when weighed on my postal scale. The packaging of each seems to eat up a little of that it seems. Still, they are just the right size for me.They were fresh, not the least bit stale and as tasty as ever. Only about a third of them were broken, which really doesn't matter I guess.. but I kinda like to have mine all in one piece.If you love these things, the ones I got from this seller were sold at the best price, and very fresh, so I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I recently bought these from a local store and quickly ran out giving the treats to my daughter. I decided to check Amazon and buy some. These came fairly quickly but the problem is they were dry and brittle as sawdust. As soon as we tried to break a piece it just dissolved into dust. It was more difficult to eat than the ones I usually buy locally. Not sure what the issue is but other than that the flavor was as expected.

I can't recall when I had my first chick-o-stick but I do recall that I loved it. I couldn't find them anywhere locally so I decided to buy a box off of Amazon. I went through most of the box in a couple of weeks...mostly by myself, I know, I know. However, I saved the last six or so sticks to bake cookies...YES COOKIES! There are many good Chick O Stick cookie recipes online, I tried two, the chocolate chip version, which was decent, but I don't think I used enough sticks (only 2) and the peanut butter version my co-worker used and she used 4 sticks. The cookies came out delicious and the peanut butter and coconut flavors mixed in well with the cookie flavor. Shipping: The shipping was good. I ordered this on April 26th and they came on May 4th... ON A SUNDAY!Chick-o-Stick: My mother fell in love with this candy when we were on vacation in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. I personally, think it tastes good. It taste like the inside of a Butterfinger, just without the chocolate. The box the candy came in is nice too so you can just lay them on your kitchen table or store them away nicely. Now, some people on here I've noticed complained of their candy being broken. My Chick-O-Sticks were broken but they were snapped in half. They weren't broken to the point where it wasn't edible. My mother also said that the Chick-O-Sticks I ordered were even fresher and tasted better than the ones she bought in the stores in Tennessee.Overall: This was a very good buy for my Mother and I. I will be buying more if my Mom wants some. =)

I was ok with this purchase with the exception of a couple of things. First, every single stick was broken in at least one place. Some were broken in multiple places. Some might think this is no big deal, but it does affect the freshness of the product. Second, the chico sticks that were at the bottom of the box were extremely hard. They were much harder than the chico sticks on top of the box. I am not sure why, but there was a definite difference. Overall product was just ok.

Hadn't had any of these since I was a teenager.Ordered a box for one last time to enjoy before I give up candy.They were fresh and crispy and as good as when I was a kid.Treat yourself and pace yourself. They are worth it.
