NATURE NATES Coconut Oil & Pink Himalayan Popped Sorghum, 4.3 OZ

I am intestinal issues that a lot of people have... and I love popcorn. I have looked and looked at this sorghum but haven't tried until now. I purchased three favorite separately - coconut oil & pink himilayan sea salt, extremely cheezy, and avocado oil and salt. This review is about the coconut oil version. It does have a tiny tad of a coconut flavor - although it is very, very faint. Maybe very slight sweet overtones... Of the three this flavor is #2 to me. I like the avocado first and the cheezy last. The reason being that IN MY OPINION the avocado version tastes the most like actual tasty popcorn. The cheezy has a little bit of a grainy aftertaste that wasn't my favorite. Now, for ALL three the thing to note is how super tiny the kernels are! So tiny. It's a little hard to eat because it is so tiny. I am thinking about getting a spoon to eat it. It's hard to "pinch" like you do with popcorn because they are so tiny! 1/2 cup is a serving... All the flavors have the same calories in that 1/2 cup - 60. Honestly, it will be hard to eat just 1/2 a cup... but we'll see. There are three ingredients... organic sorghum... organic coconut oil... and pink himayalan salt. Gotta love something processed with only 3 ingredients. The use by date on my bag - 02-22-22. Sheesh. It won't last a week here! And that's without artificial preservatives. I am still on the fence about whether or not it will replace my love of popcorn, however, if it doesn't upset my stomach, it will win. It does taste like a delightful pop of teeny tiny popcorn. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful.

I love everything about this popped sorgham, but the servings per package are definitely NOT as advertised, hence, the 4 star review versus 5. It states 10 1/2 cup servings per package but in reality it is 4 1/2 cup servings.Otherwise, it's delicious to me at least. Dangerously delicious.

I was looking for healthy choices as well as something different than the norm. I had never heard of this. I was skeptical but I was pleasantly surprised at the healthy ingredients. 3 total ingredients!!! With No preservatives! I will be a repeat offender. Delicious and healthy. I am a new fan.

In my attempt to recreate a beautiful beet salad I had in a restaurant, I purchased Nature Nates' popped sorghum to use as a garnish. It worked beautifully, adding visual interest as well as a nice little crunch. Well, I enjoyed the flavor so much, I have to confess I ate the rest of the bag over the next few days as a tasty little snack.Since this original purchase, I've ordered several other flavors as well as the unpopped so I can create a few flavor combos of my own.

I like the fact that sorghum's nutritional value is much great than corn! But I am going to need to do more taste testing. I am going to taste all the different types that presently available. I really think that in the final analysis it comes down to the size of the kernels. Then again sorghum is better for your digestive track!

Amazing! Haven’t had sorghum this amazing in my life. It felt great to eat “popcorn” amongst everyone else. 100% recommended for anyone with allergies! It also gave me zero digestive problems, as other sorghum has in the past. Overall, super amazing and delicious product!Edit: Sept. 3rdI bought three packages, but for some reason, they all tasted so different and stale. I have ordered multiple times from Nate’s with great success, and this time was a disappointment. I’m honestly not sure if they changed something or what. The expiration date on them was 3/31/21, but something was definitely off about them. Opened two packages to see, and both were them same. I’m positive the third will be the same.

Accurate packaging. Pretty salty though. The texture of these at least this specific order, resembled the almost burnt smaller kernels at the bottom of a microwaveable popcorn bag that didn't get a chance to pop fully. Not fluffy at all. I may try this product again just to see if maybe it was just that batch that wasn't the best.
