Nice way to update a Old System...,
This is one slick little device ,it is a great way to update your old stereo system ,usb ,tf micro card readers, bluetooth ,even fm Radio,a universal hub for any system that don't have any of these features on them.. It even has its own volume on it to bump up the jams even more and pre set EQ on it too ,plays songs from cards well sounds good and loud, but id like to see this device play folders or playlists instead of going thru each song by song to find a song ,itll do repeat and random ,not sure how big of a card you can use with this alot only go up to 32gb some up to 128gb ,but this gem here is great bang for your buck ,its been workin so far so good ,I love it with exception of folder/'playlist search ,can scan thru music times ,remote and front panel controls , another thing id like to see is it read the titles out, artists ,songs etc,it does track number and time ,but overall this is one great gadget .. I may even get another one for another room..

Use this thing to listen to mp3s on a USB drive through an old basement stereo. Also use the bluetooth function to listen to ABC Jazz (A as in Australian) internet radio via my tablet through the stereo. ABC Jazz is 24/7, free, and you get to listen to that nice accent of those down under. Give it a try! Yes I know US has the accent not them. Instructions are a bit lacking, but the buttons on the remote resolve basic issues. Radio feature is pretty much useless but the Onkyo does that well enough on its own. Hope gadget lasts. But for the instructions would have rated a 5 across the board. One additional note is that the instructions seem to indicate that the USB sticks should be formatted to FAT16 or FAT32 systems. Current windows computers only format to xFAT or NTFS, so you will have to find an appropriate piece of software to format. Also find same concept in place, though not explained, in car audio systems.

A snazzy little device!
I got this for one thing only, so I can't address how well, or even if, it works for other functions. My beloved preamplifier was designed and built around the time Columbus discovered the New World. But the sound can't be beat, and it has the sweetest phono pre-preamp I've ever heard. As a concession to modernity, it does have two inputs for those new-fangled CD players. Remote? What's that?My CD player is venerable as well: it's a Proton unit from the late 1980's. It knows nothing about .MP3 files: .WAV or nothing. Again, remote? What's that? For parties, I had been burning CDs in .WAV format. But changing CDs every hour or so gets old, not to mention erratic as the evening's festivities progress.Enter this Xrong-brand device. Now I can load 30+ hours of music, even in .WAV files, onto a 16-gig thumb drive. And it has a display so I or guests know what track is playing. And now I have some remote functions! The "manual" is in Chingrish. Baffling Chingrish. It isn't bad enough to be unintentionally hilarious, though. In addition to the device, the box had all the cables I needed. You do need a USB power source, but USB hubs are inexpensive: search Amazon for "powered USB hubs" in Electronics. Mine was less than $20.The sound is okay, at least for my purposes. I compared this device's D to A converter with the one in my Proton relic. My CD player is audibly better, but this unit is fine for background music.UPDATE: The D to A converter is quite a bit better than the one in my smart TV!Warmly recommended.

Will start stuttering if left a long time playing
I have not tried the remote control. What I discovered that after letting it just play it will start stuttering. After stuttering it will start to produce horrible noise. There is another mp3 player I have purchased here. It works find after playing continuously for weeks. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BGW1PFA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=1Unfortunately I bought 3 of these things and after using them I realized they are now throw aways.Buy the the one where I listed the Amazon URL. It is actually less money than the useless one.As another aside, unplugging the usb memory or the USB power will not fix this problem once it starts. I found the only way to fix this problem is to take the USB memory and add another song to it. This will make it play again for a few hours. Not worth the aggravation

Good music with some significant implementation flaws, IMHO
I really wanted to like this and it does have some positives. It is essentially a large music player with built in FM and apparently can link to bluetooth music sources, like your phone. I have been unable to connect this to bluetooth speakers. In term so the FM antenna, the reception is poor. It would be nice if, in addition to the USB antenna, one could use an external speaker wire system. This does not get channels that I can get in my car or in other radio players I own. The USB music plug works and plays music. I have not been able to get it to see an SD card. Perhaps it is a defective unit. When I put the micro-SD card in a USB adapter I can play it in this player so there is a work around. In many ways this is a glorified portable music player with many of the same options. It is designed to be an integrated system for an automobile. The equalizer system is simple but appears to only work with the USB music source option and not the FM radio option. It would be nice if it was able to read tags in the music and provide functionality to play based on the tags. This would raise the cost, so I can understand that design decision. This has the makings of a nice music player but lacks some critical functionality, IMHO. Given that, if it fits your need, it does work mostly as advertised and you may be able to be happy with this system.
