Not very helpful - only text is scanned
The description says that this is a scanned book, but it doesn't clearly mention that it is scanned and then has OCR done to it to pick out the words, and the book itself is a very compact version of ONLY the text with all the illustrations removed. It's not even edited to make sure there aren't errors in the OCR.A nature book without the pictures is virtually useless. I may keep it in case I ever find a lot of time to look up some of the species' pictures, although it's unlikely that will ever happen.

Good book
This is a good book for plant people. The author has provided plants and their uses amongst Native peoples. The information should be taken for what it is, an outsiders perception of Native botany and cultural practices. That said this book seems real, down to the racist slurs used by the author regarding native peoples. No sugar coating here, a true European colonial approach to the world.
