Good value
The printing of the second sonata is great, besides a few aesthetically odd font choices here and there. This is Rachmaninoff's own revised 1931 edition. The first sonata is legible but not as clear, and there is an odd, very faint grid of dots on the pages. It seems to me that reading this might get hard on the eyes after awhile, but that is not a problem for me since I am only playing the second sonata. The binding is the typical stiff paperback kind that has to be broken in but works fine after a week or so of frustration.

Not entirely satisfied.
Purchased this to sight read the second sonata, which turns out to be missing an entire section in the score, has errors. The font is not the best, but readable. Pretty difficult to keep the book open, unless you put some force into it. After this purchase, I will no longer trust Alfred: perhaps, they should keep making method books for children starting to learn piano, instead of producing low-quality sheet music for the arguably greatest music ever written. I haven’t read through the other sonatas from the book yet, which gives me hope that the errors might be only present in the second sonata, otherwise, I do not recommend buying this edition.

Sloppy Edition
For the serious scholar or player this edition doesn't make the grade. The first sonata contains photocopy marks, the second is full of errors.

Amazing
Amazing. Moderately good edition, but it is clear enough, not enough fingering, but you don't want that with Rachmaninoff, because people find different things easier. But be warned, it is VERY difficult. I would not recommend this to anyone who isn't concert standard. But the book itself is phenomenal
