I researched antenna tuners for a few weeks before deciding on the LDG Z-100Plus. It looks like I made the right choice. Tunes fast trough the entire HF band (160 - 10 Meters). This tuner is designed for operation of no more than 100 Watts ! Tuning should be performed at LOW power ! For my application using Inverted V and Long Wire antenna the VSWR has always been 1.3:1 or less. Initial tune on a frequency takes about 4 seconds and is retained in the memory. Tuning speed is much quicker than other tuners that I have used. No doubt this is an awesome tuner for a 100 watt mobile setup or field-day, but I will be installing this on a sailboat using a balum, approximately 38 feet of wire for the antenna and a counterpoise. I will update this review as needed. NOTE: if using a VSWR/Watt meter it should be inserted between the radio and the tuner to obtain correct VSWR readings and NOT between the tuner and the antenna !I DO NOT receive any compensation for my reviews. I had an LDG Z100 plus that worked very well for about 10 years in the situation where it was used every day after which a relay broke down and no longer agreed on a frequency band. I think that the period in which it worked without problems is enough and I bought another ATU, the same model and I hope to use it at least that much. I mention that I used it on a multiband antenna with Yaesu equipment.

This LDG Z-100 plus tuner is so convenient and easy to use with accurate reading....nice!

easy to work & does the job, Once it is set to a freq it stays and I have 3 HF rigs I can switch threw it and it is still the same. I would have been nice though if they had a tune cable available for the Alnico DX-SR8/9 if I use it mobile though?

This is my second ldg auto tuner, bought it for my mobile rig 857 works great really pleased. My other is the z817 tuner for my qrp rig 817nd... very pleased with both. ..I use this also in combination with my 817 and a 50w amp. .. must have for the little under powered 817 but all are very light and functional. As a point of reference for size it is nearly the same as my 817nd

So far so good seems to be a great tuner for the price. Figured I would give LDG a chance and I must say they do have a great product. Never underestimate the little guy.

Wow great little tuner. Plug and play just the way it should be. Tunes fast. Small as well fits anywhere.
