Possible redemtion? [Updated]
I fully expected these to be broken by now, so I delayed posting a review. The other cheaper versions of this product broke under general use. Literally, I was sitting at my computer typing my novel. Not moving, not running, not breathing too hard... and the other ones broke! My resting heart rate was like 60, so that probably didn't caused them to break. Apparently, gravity was playing havoc with the wiring. This product is working great and its well protected against extreme changes in heart rate (i.e. 60/bpm to 70/bpm... the increase due to a person walking into the kitchen to get a soda) and the burden of gravity.[UPDATE]I did not change the previous review because I want you, the reader and potential buyer, to suffer through the anguish a man feels when he drops 50 bucks in the garbage can. It hasn't even been a year and my heaping wad of garbage which I once affectionately calledSoundBot® SB730 Bluetooth 4.0, is no longer working. $50. I could've used that $50 to buy a used sofa with unidentifiable stains and smells, and still had enough left over to buy some Hulk-a-mania slap bracelets and the economy sized box of Hot Pockets. I had such high hopes for this garbage. I actually fooled myself into believing that because this garbage came in such a snazzy box, that I might get at least 8 months of usage from them. This did not happen. Soundbot, you screwed me. King's to you. Making people believe that if you spray perfume on a heaping mound of elephant dung, that it is no longer elephant dung. This product is elephant dung. DO NOT BUY!...but if you still want to experience utter failure, send me your money and I will send you my worthless Soundbot SB730 so that you can jump forward into the future and live the heartbreak, the defeat, the utter misery of a useless product, right now.[UPDATE] [UPDATE]This is just a follow-up to let everyone know that the trauma I suffered after my life line to music (SB730) died, and my general feeling of discontent, is still bubbling over. That is all.[UPDATE][UPDATE][UPDATE]FROM SOUNDBOT: "Please kindly send the original unit back to us. The unit does not need to be in its original packaging and we do not need the cables or user guide.Your replacement unit will be sent out to you once we receive the original unit. Once tracking information for replacement is available, it will be issued to you via email."This pleases me. I shall put back on my big boy pants, stop calling, emailing, researching the corporate board of Soundbot so that I can get personal phone numbers as to bemoan my disgust during dinner calls with their families (only slightly stalkerish), and mail the unit back to the company. This, ladies and gentlemen, is worth five stars. They could've said, "Suck it up, bro." but they didn't. Hopefully they will fix the issue, but even if they don't and I return to amazon.com to once again reduce the rating and cry all over the place, at least they are attempting to handle the situation. I respect that.

Worth the cost: YES
I started out owning the LG 700, and then I purchased the LG 730. the 700 had better connectivity, the 730 better sound. However, roughly one year into the ownership of each of these products one of the earbuds went bad inside of the headset . I also tried purchasing an inexpensive knock off the unit sounds fine and at first I thought what a great deal. But, I use my headsets mostly for phone conversations in business and customers began telling me I sounded very distant and not very loud that..... never happened with the LG units. The sound bot has good enough quality for the work that I do. Please understand that I am NOT an audiophile. Whenever I listen to audiobooks, and I do quite a bit of phone work as a Business Development Manager for my company it. I have noticed much better longevity with the battery. I seem to be heard by those I speak with to without complaint. The sound listening to audio books and podcasts seems fine.it readily connects to both my note 3 and my surface pro 2. At times however, When I discontinue listening to a book or podcast to work with other apps or programs, the unit will not automatically pick back up audio programing, and it takes several times of turning the bluetooth on and off to get everything back up and running again. I will say, that this unit is probably my best experience at restarting audio programs with a single press of a button, no matter how long I've been away... If I haven't had to work in multiple other programs. It turns it on and off without fail from the headset. But still not perfect. The unit is also somewhat tighter than the others around my neck and perhaps after long periods of wear, and depending on weather I am wearing a collared shirt or not, becomes uncomfortable for short periods. He placement indentations for the earpieces on headset work fairly nice but I tend not to use them and I'm not sure how difficult they would be if someone where to try to insert while wearing it multiple times every day. But it does work good for storage. In closin, I have to recommend this product because of the price. And because of the battery life and performance overall.

These headphones look great, sound great
These headphones look great, sound great, fit well on your neck when exercising and loved the that they retracted....so whats the problem? After three uses the phones stopped working unless they were plugged in. I have used quite a few different kinds of Bluetooth headphones but these were the only pair I have seen that only worked plugged into the computer. I want to try them again hoping it was just a bad pair but once sometimes is enough stick with the LG pair as they are much more reliableMarch 2015: Well I decided to dip my feet back into the pool of SoundBot because I did like the headphones a lot and I thought I should give them other chance (and the price keeps dropping!) Bought other pair and have been using them everyday at the gym for the past twoweeks. No problems except that the Bluetooth on two occasions has not shut off when I powered down the headphones. I simply did a hardware reset and it solved the problem. I am going to revise my rating to three and see how it goesApril 2015: Well other update: I have bought two more pairs of these headphones (total of 4 and have returned 2 wife thinks I am crazy) because they keep dropping the price. I finally have figured out what the problem is. It seems that when you go to turn the headphones off it will stay connected to the bluetooth. I thought the on off switch was broken however you can do a hardware reboot and that seems to takecare of the problem. Kind of a pain and something soundbot should take a look at. I initially like and continue to like many of the features on these headphones and no one has a pair like them! Also loud enough to hear while riding my motorcycle with a half or full helmet
