exact replacement - works great
a little pricey for what it is but it is an exact replacement for the originals which were no longer rigid enough to hold the button in. the new on looks and works great.

Pricy, but fits older Merc safety switches
Fits Merc-Style ignition safety switch that the 'universal' safety switch lanyards (with multiple switch style fobs on a lead) doesn't. When my original clip broke after many years of use, I went looking for a replacement. My boat has a MercJet and the safety switch requires a very tall prong to fit over the switch. I bought a couple of different 'universal' lanyards that have multiple styles and sizes of clips, but none of them fit my boat. This is the only lanyard on Amazon I've found that does fit. It's pricy, but still much cheaper than what the boat dealer wanted to charge.

Finally found the one that fits my Mercury. I tried one of the lanyards that comes with multiple keys, but none of them worked. This one fits right, and even has a float.
