Guys Read: Thriller (Guys Read, 2)

My son is a picky reader and I was having trouble finding recommendations for books he might be interested in. After hearing about the "Guys Read" website and visiting it for individual book titles, I was please to find this collection of shorter stories by a variety of authors. We've used it as a jumping off point for longer, genre fiction.He's enjoyed the collection and we've bought another in this series as well. Spooky, creepy and, well, thrilling for the 9-13 year old age group.

I liked this book okay. But, it got a little bit boring at some points. I would recommend this book to people who enjoy reading suspense and Guys Read books, even if you are a girl, like me, you would read this.

The stories in this book range from the humorous (ghost glasses at the bottom of the lake?) to the serious (the one about Pirates in Somalia in particular.) Darned good stuff that any boy would probably enjoy reading!

I ordered this book along with the Guys Read Sports book. My nephew will be 13 next month. This will be a perfect fit for him because while he enjoys reading, he prefers shorter stories. I hope he is as excited as I am about it. I am very pleased with my purchase!

I bought 40 books to complete my collection by S. Cannell, M. Connelly, J. Patterson, & J. Wambaugh. I haven't read all of them yet, but these guys have never disappointed, and I don't think that they ever will.That's why I read them.

My grandson loved the stories in this book. Because it is an anthology, it was convenient to read a complete story each morning as his mother drove him to school.

My 9 year old (at the time) loved it and helped him to be interested in reading. A great book for a young boy. Will try more in this series. Strongly recommended.

My students (I have 12 boys in my class of 14) love the thriller busy read! It is filled with short, fun stories. It seems to keep their attention.
