The Primrose Bakery Book Hardcover – Illustrated, October 5, 2012

I personally love this book !beautiful layout and easy to read .

This UK edition is in metrics only, there are no US equivalents for the recipes listed within. Unfortunate because this is a beautifully laid out book, the recipes look amazing. If only . . .

I'm quite a novice baker, and need my recipes to be very detailed so I know what I'm doing. The cakes in this book always turn out wonderfully, there's tips and tricks for layer cakes and decorating at the back and it's just lovely. I've been working my way through every thing in the book, nothing has turned out badly at all!

I wait a lot for this book and now i just wanna through it away. Recipes are not accurate, and have no details or tips for bakers. I think they want to keep the recipe for themselves.Photographs are nice and the layout is too, but thats no the reason why I bought it.

I seem to be buying an awful amount of baking books of late! But anyway, this is my review of The Primrose Bakery Book, in hardback, not as a Kindle book. This one of those 'even I could make something almost as nice' books that I can aspire to. Not so as to be exceptionally difficult and therefore, off-putting, but also there are some recipes that might challenge the reader/baker. There's literally something for every type of baker here, and some of the flavour combinations that I certainly wouldn't have though of (especially the icings/ganaches etc) But there's enough inspiration to use their recipes as building blocks for your own bakes. A lovely addition to my ever-growing library of cookbooks.

Not happy, seems its a copy of the other Primrose Bakery book. As I now have two of the same and the one that appears to be printed first, not this one in the picture, has better recipes, it was a waste of money. It seems very unfair that they changed the picture on the front, as that is the only way you know if you have the book or not. NOT HAPPY

The cakes in this book look delicious ! There's a mixture of cupcakes and large cakes, including a non traditional Christmas cake with ginger buttercream - definitely going to give that a whirl and I won't be waiting until Christmas either !

I bought this as a present for a friend, who was thrilled with it. I intend to buy a copy for myself as I had a quick look at the book before I gave it to my friend and was most impressed with it/
