Snugfleece SnugSoft Elite Virgin Wool Bed Mattress Cover Twin Size

I recently read about the benefits of wool mattress toppers; it seems counterintuitive that they can be cool or warm. But, I decided to try one for my nerve pain. I bought this particular one, even though it was more expensive, because it was made in the USA. (Amazon, please add country of origin to all descriptions.) Having slept on it for a few nights, I can say that it is absolutely wonderful. The comfort is hard to describe, it’s like sleeping on a cloud. All of our sheets would slip and slide on our Tempurpedic mattress, but with this pad, our sheets fit snugly and stay put at night. It’s even easier to make the bed! I can’t say enough good things about this mattress pad.

We spent over $4,000 on a talalay latex mattress this year, but my slim husband has had a hard time sleeping on it feeling that it was too firm, even though we bought the softest latex. I love it myself, after many years of tossing and turning on a regular pillow top inner spring mattress, but all those years I couldn't sleep he was snoozing contentedly. So I was determined to make it work for us both. I noticed that many expensive latex mattresses had a wool top layer so I bought this pad even though it was pricey. When it arrived I was impressed with the construction and the thickness of the wool top. It fits generously and has sturdy elastic bands at the corners to hold it into place. The instructions said to put it just underneath the sheets for the best feel. So that is where it is. I added wool and granulated latex pillows as well. My husband is back to sleeping through the night as am I. The wool's loft feels wonderful. Neither of us felt there was any sheepy odor. We will have to see how well it holds up if we fluff it every time we change sheets. I have not washed it yet, so that is another issue I cannot comment on. But we are both sleeping well and enjoying our pricey bed much more now. This was a very good purchase.February 22, 2015 Still in great shape. Fluff it when changing sheets and let it air out a couple of hours before putting sheets back on and the loft remains springy and comforting. Worth what we paid for it!

I wondered why our American beds, even my expensive (motion) Tempurpedic, weren't as comfortable as some of the beds I slept in in New Zealand and Iceland. Each of these countries produces lots of sheep. I searched a New Zealand website, where I found sheep wool mattress pads.Before I purchased, I read up to learn more about wool in general. Moreno wool pads cost about $200 more, as Moreno wool is finer and therefore less itchy. But since a sheet is placed on top of the pad, the wool is not next to your skin, thus no itching problem. I drove to Oakville, WA to look at a competitor's product. Unfortunately theirs had no straps or skirt to keep it attached to my mattress which sits on a platform that moves the headrest and leg part.After reading all the specs and customer reviews on the Amazon website for these products, with my prime intent to gain additional comfort, I placed importance on maximum loft and wool quantity without sacrificing washability. Thus I decided on the "Snugfleece Elite", which the seller calls "Snugsoft Elite". No import duties or expensive shipping, because this product is made from American Virgin Wool in the USA. The product price was considerably less than the one from New Zealand. The seller sent it promptly from Pocatello, ID. I slept on this pad for about a month now, and have not encountered any problems to date. My sleep and comfort has definately improved, and I recommend this pad to others. It would make an especially great gift for anyone who, by reason of illness, has to spend a lot of time in a bed.

Our firm mattress has been serving us well for over 10 years but lately I began to notice that my body would ache in the morning and took sometime to warm up. We've tried memory foam in the past (several years ago) but it was too squishy for us. We wanted something to soften our bed but not too soft. Also I tend to sleep hot whereas my wife is cooler. This seemed like a good solution.When we opened it, it definitely had a feel of good quality. It had a nice thickness, felt soft. Initially, there was a slight odor, sort of earthy tone. It didn't bother us and we didn't notice it after a day. We couldn't wait to try it out.I waited about two weeks to write this to get a better feel for it. I like that it added a slight cushion to our mattress. We weren't looking for much and this seems to fit the bill. Maybe a little bit more would have been fine since my wife didn't notice much difference. For me, I definitely woke up with less pain/ache. However, we both noticed that it became hotter during the night. The first few nights I woke up couple of times because I was too hot. Now I sleep without a blanket to compensate for the extra heat. So while it helped with the pain, I still had trouble having a good nights sleep.I will give it few more days but we may end up returning this.

Color me impressed!!! - I have a memory foam mattress that I've been hot and uncomfortable with almost from the day I got it. I was in the process of researching a new mattress when I came across a review this Mattress Cover and I decided to give one a try. To say I was skeptical is an understatement but this lives up to all of its claims. I took it out of the package, threw it in my dryer for about 10 minutes of the "Fluff" setting and put it on my bed. There was almost no odor to it and from that day on I haven't woke up hot and the temp in my bedroom has been high a few tiems. It is also true that you don't sweat. There is a little bit of warmth but no hot spots so this really does breath. I've only had it for about a week so hopefully it holds up.
