Interactive Toy Concept Wi SPI Helicopter

It works as expected, but is maybe a little large for indoor use. Before you get the hang of controlling it you need a rather large living room (without to many fragile decorations). But flying outdoor on a sunny day is no problem, as well as (crash) landing on you lawn.The Android app acting as the remote controller is ok, but takes some time to get used to.

This rc helo exceeds expectations. After charging n reading instructions. Connected with an android phone and was flying in seconds. Is a bit of a learning curve using phone as controller, but after a few charges, am able to keep in the air, going where I want for the 6 minute flight time charge. The live video is ok quality. Have recorded chasing my dogs around. Has survived quite a few crashes during that learning curve. It's a blast flying this rc helo...

This helicopter is a neat toy and a neat concept. It is pretty hard to get the hang of, but I suppose that requires alot of practice. The video and pictures are not super clear but for the price, it's good.

We used the app for iPhone and the emergency stop button never worked. The controls are awkward and slow to respond. The helicopter now lives in the tree.

Received this for Christmas. A ton 'o fun! It requires an android smart device to control it. I use my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. Learning to drive it is challenging. Outdoors you need absolute calm. I mean cigarette smoke should be rising straight up. The little thing can't make headway against moving air at all. Picture quality is grainy, but fun. Start out in a large open area to figure out what the controls do as you're flying. Having crashed it more than flown it, I give it top marks for durability. Suggest a soft landing pad like lawn rather than concrete.Pros; Looks cool, flies pretty well once you learn how to control it. Withstands a lot of crashes.Cons; Short battery run time (5 minutes) between charges, Could use better instructions. The female charging port is kind of touchy. Don't just jam the plug in as far as you can. You kind of have to feel it out. Needs better instructions.If I were King o' the WorldWould be better if you could change batteries and have one on a charger while flying the other one.Would have onboard accelerometers so you could set an altitude and not have to constantly juggle it.The controller App should have "Sensitivity adjustments" to allow the operator to adjust the response for the various controls.

Fun for a very short time. Non replaceable battery died. Dead. Not cool.

I couldn't get it to climb higher than a foot off the ground-- full power (full charge) .. It won't hover on its own, and because the controls are so slow responding, by the time you try to turn it, its already smacked into the ground, or flipped over.. (Thank God it's built tough) I don't know what kind of copters are being flown on youtube, but I'm a pilot, and all I can see is that this toy may look impressive as an ornament on a shelf, but for flying-- forget it.. I don't know, those people who rated it highly, must have some pretty impressive flying skills. ..I would never recommend this toy-- to anyone
