Usborne Book What's Happening to Me? Girls Paperback – January 1, 2015

I was referred to this book by a friend and I did what everyone else I think who bought this did and read it first. I wanted to know what I was getting into once my 11 year old started to read it. It had some things that we haven’t talked about yet, so it helped make me aware of what I need to touch base on beforehand. This book is great for young readers. (Parent discretion of course). The book puts it into words where a tween can understand it. Another great book by Usborne Books!

Explains in easy terms what is happening to a girl’s body as puberty hits. Doesn’t pain the time as a beautiful act of nature, but isn’t super graphic either. Even touches a tiny bit in lbgtq and emotions.

The world is moving fast, but I'd like to preserve the innocence of my girls all the way till they can make up their own minds about what they want to do. I don't think this book is appropriate for this age group. Heck! I don't think any book for kids should be teaching them about masturbation.
