The model is not for me.
I had intended to buy this for my daughter's home. After reading all the good reviews, I took the plunge.On closer examination, I soon realized that without the monitoring service from SafeMart, the unit is just a $450 doorstop. There is no Ethernet port nor any other means for me to monitor myself remotely if I opt out of SafeMart. So I am paying $450 for the hardware only to pay $30 per month for the service. Moreover, the unit does not have a way to trigger a laud alarm just like a car alarm to scare off the intruders, with or without the monitoring service.While this is a decent system, it does not meet my expectations at the asking price. I returned it today.

Awesome.
Simple to install.Tech support has been very helpful.Easy to expand. I have since bought a few more sensors.Monthly fees are reasonable.The nice thing about this is that I can bring this system with me when I move since it's wireless.

I installed this security system in my home. It is easy to install and works OK. You can do your self and cost less to monitor your home by Safemart.

Simon XT and SafeMart are the Best
I've had this system in my home now almost a year and love it. Dealing with Safemart was a breath of fresh air. No pressure, just told them what I wanted and they helped with what I needed. It came already set up, just installed the sensors and played with it few days before it was activated. Have not had any false alarms or problems. Bought a can of smoke check and checked the smoke detector after calling to let them know and it worked perfect. Don t think you can beat the monitoring price and get a discount on your home owners insurance. The biggest advantage is you put the thing in and that means no stranger is in your home installing a alarm system. He may be looking for a new job the next week. After looking for a while I found this system and Safemart , both are perfect for me and both have been outstanding.

Great Alarm System
I've had my GE Simon XT alarm system monitored by LiveWatch for about 3 months and everything has been great. Setup was super easy and I'm not a do it yourself type of guy but this was a piece of cake. You just peel off the sticky tape and stick it on the doors or windows. I have 14 sensors and it only took me probably 20 minutes to put them all on.I love the iPhone app that allows me to arm/disarm and check the event history from my iPhone. It even shows and can alert you if a door or window is left open. In my last home I used a local alarm company and their system cost twice this and had half the number of sensors and didn't have an iPhone app. Their monthly monitoring was also about $5 more a month. I would highly recommend this alarm system.

Go the "Safe" route...SafeMart
Once it happens to you and your domain is voliated an alarm system is no longer optional...It becomes manditory. We felt pressure to get one right away but I resisted the urge to rush into long contracts that the bigger in your face companies force on you. We checked ADt,CPI,Protect America & even local dealers who did not even to return our calls. We even had one company (PA) hang up on us because we would not go into detail on why we would not sign up for 36 mths of payments. SafeMart was responsive and the service has been excellent. I needed a couple extra sensors after my inital order and they shipped them within a few days. We own the equipment and after a year if we are not satisifed with how they do business we have the freedom...yes..."freedom" to look elsewhere without all the threats.Just say No to long contracts and not just with alarm companies...with ANY company.

Easy installation and set up
Received this system from Safemart and it works great. It was easy to set up. Everything being wireless allowed me to put my motion detectors where I can receive the most coverage vs. where the previous alarm installer positioned them. Also, I can move the keypad to somewhere else in the house besides right by the door which helps in detering any breakin from destroying the main box. With the option to add on more accessories at any time, the level of security and optimization is limitless. Wish I would have changed over sooner. Cost is less and I own the equipment.
