Graef Matt Brushed Long Slot Stainless Steel Toaster

Ok I got this a little cheaper than the new price as it was an ex-display but it was still over 50 pounds - thats a lot for a toaster so I waited with baited breath for it to arrive.The seller contacted me first before sending it out to make sure I was aware and happy that is was an ex-display and not new, this was a nice touch although it was clear in the details. The item arrived very quickly and apart from it being in a box that looked a little worse for wear looks brand new.So is it any good? Well in a word yes. It looks great, and toasts evenly be it frozen or fresh - at last I have found a toaster that can toast, you wouldn't think it would be so hard but as we all know it seems to be with the rather awful results we often get from these things.Any bad points? well its a two slice toaster not four and to be honest if you have a large or homemade loaf you can often only get one slice in at a time by putting it in on its side. If you like a lot of toast in a hurry I think they do an even more expensive model which you should perhaps consider, for me though its perfect.

Looks good. You have to get used to the toasting levels. Will not take big slices of plastic bread etc, but seeing as I don't eat that rubbish it's fine. Can take long slices of sourdough etc, nice low level for bagels. Could be more even sometimes.

This is easily the best toaster I have ever owned. I decided to spend a bit more rather than go for the cheaper ones I've used and it's worth it. Solidly built, it toasts completely evenly over all of the bread on both sides. On two slot toasters I found that if doing only one slice, the side nearest to the empty slot over-toasts or burns. That's why this one only uses one slot.It takes two pieces of bread up to 4 and a half inches square

This is the second one I’ve had from this make, which I think is German, but so pleased with my new one which is in stainless steel, looks great.

Not the trendiest or the one with the most gadgets. But it produces the best toast I've ever had from a toaster - simples.I would not hesitate to recommend .

This toaster is not cheap but it looks great and works perfectly, giving even browning over the whole slice. Heating can be adjusted with finger-tip precision. No wonder the Which? report rated it so highly!

This is a brilliant product. Cooks evenly, has a release button, and looks stylish.

Purchased this toaster to replace a cheap one - a little expensive but well worth the money - looks great in my new kitchen and works well - evenly toasted bread. The downside is that my husband would have preferred a four slicer but that is my fault.
