This just fits over the tap if push on at an angle, I don’t need to attach the cable. It work but might be to small for some

Bought this to replace a similar unit, which had developed a faulty spring clip after many years of use. As others have said on here, if you have a hose adaptor on the tap, it won't fit inside the cover. No problem for me, I just took the adaptor off and left it on the hose end instead, but I can see why some people would be annoyed at that. Not even worth deducting a star IMHO.

We have been using this type of cover for our tap for years. I now need one for somewhere else so got the same type as it's very sturdy and does the job.

What's not to like about a Tommy Cooper fez, that fit's perfectly over your outside tap. It has a polystyrene inner lining & a sponge buffer that rests on the wall. All you do is attach the loop to the tap & pull it tight to ensure a firm fit. Including some pipe protruding down from the wall, the total height of my tap is 125mm. I was concerned beforehand that it might go fully over, but those concerns were unfounded. It is a lovely fit. Well pleased.

Like others I found this would not fit over a tap supplied by a pipe from below. However the plastic shell is not brittle, so it's possible to cut a notch for the pipe with a Stanley knife and use bubble wrap to cover the pipe and seal the notch around it.
