It is well suited for containers and prefers sunlight but may scorch in hot, sunny, dry locations; making it a good houseplant. This plant will live for many years. In fact; it may even outlive you! You will actually be able to pass this plant from generation to generation. We have one in our family that is almost 40 years old! It is easy to grow from seed and will usually take up-to 2 years to bloom, however may begin producing "pups" within the first year. You can see the little bulbs in the images above.
