Great Cookbook!!!
Great Cookbook! I got this book for my brother-in-law and will be giving it to him for Christmas as a gift. I already have one at my house and we smoked some wonderful tender juicy ribs for my dads 70th birthday party with lots of people. He seen this cookbook and loved the recipes we used to cook for the party and wanted this cookbook so as soon as him and my sister left I went on Amazon and found him his cookbook and I know he's going to be so happy when he opens his gift. He loves to smoke and grill so this book will be perfect for him. I know me and my family love it very much ourselves.I definitely recommend getting this cookbook, I know you will love the wonderful recipes it has.

I need to try it some more!
Have only used it once with a pork butt and it had the bone in. Did not come out the way I had hoped. I added the chips, but it still did not have a good smoked flavor like I get on the Green Egg. Finished cooking in the oven even though I followed the book's directions.

Overall a good cookbook
This item was purchased for my husband for his birthday. He was so excited to receive it. Although there are a lot of pictures in the cookbook, there are many recipes that my husband will enjoy while using his Turkey Fryer/Steamer. I did give it 4 stars for a lot of family pictures, as that space could be used for more recipes.

A great addition to the kitchen
We totally enjoyed the Fried Turkey. but I am eager to do many of the steaming recipes too. We don't have a smoker but I think the Electric Butterball Turkey Fryer will be a fun addition to our kitchen. I have both books and will be doing some of the Shrimp recipes. I am thrilled that this deep fryer is cabable of doing more than just deep frying, so the recipes like the low country boil and marinaded shrimp where food is prepared by steaming or boiling in water are just wonderful.

If you love to smoke you food this is a must have!
I don't usually write any reviews but this cookbook is great. We smoked our first chicken and cabbage. My husband and I ate half of the head of cabbage before we started on the chicken. I've never had smoked cabbage before but from now on this is the only way I will have it, yummy. The chicken was moist and has the best taste and both of these recipes are effortless. My next recipe is going to be smoked mac and cheese. You will not regret this purchase.

I was a bit disappointed at the paucity of boiled/steamed recipes and the addition of smoked recipes that have no relationship to the actual product purchased (the Turkey Fryer). But overall, the recipes provide good guidance and the book is great for a new owner of an indoor appliance that has to be handled with care.

Great Book for Grill, Smoker and Skillet Cooks
I own a few grill/smoker/bbq books, and this one is by far one of the best. Great recipies for the smoker, grill and skillet that anyone can master. I love the personal stories included in the book as well. Every recipe I've tried in this cookbook has turned out better than expected and to thumbs up comments from family and friends who have eaten the food.

A Rookie At Smoking
We bought a brand new smoker and a friend highly recommended this cookbook. We have only tried the recipes in the smoker section, but love this book: it has clear, concise directions and the recommended rubs or brines are delicious. I especially recommend the lemon pepper brine for smoked chicken. I usually try a new recipe then tweak it for our taste but these recipes are perfect the way they are written. This cookbook is a great addition to your collection.
