Little Nemo in Slumberland Vol 2: Many More Splendid Sundays! (Little Nemo, 2)

Great printing at the perfect size to enjoy the masterful work of McCay. This is really a publishing and editorial masterpiece. I cannot AB the colors with the originals or the Taschen books but I believe they achieved an excellent balance with the level of saturation. The only problem here is the shipping. Amazon does double pack, or double box and double bubble any stupid little crappy, cheap plastic item or food bag - anything you buy really - BUT when it comes to ship and oversized, heavy and expensive book like this, almost a collectible item they just wrap it with some paper and throw it in a box..... My copy has a a few little dents because of the horrible shipping they keep doing on books. I already returned one because of this problem.

Special edition requested as gift by our grown son, who is a children’s librarian and an admirer of graphic artists such as Winsor McCay. The edition is gorgeous and the book was delivered in good shape and in a timely fashion.

This is the most beautiful edition of a comic I've ever seen!The master work of Winsor McCay is revered up to this great graphic work of the Sunday Press, the only negative point was the damage caused by shipping, I found the packaging very fragile to accommodate such a large book, on the cover were a few dents but nothing that compromises reading and appreciation of the work, I recommend to all readers from Amazon!

This collection of the Sunday paper Funny Pages by Winsor Mckay in it's original format of Little Nemo which I ordered through Amazon was an amazing surprise. The creator of Little Nemo's Adventures in Slumberland is a true genius. I am also impressed with the prompt filling of my order.

Incomplete. Great quality amd awesome large format though. If you want the complete strip though, look to one of the many altenratives.

This is a reprinting of one of the classic and earliest newspaper comic strips. Very well done, nicely illustrated. The book arrived quickly after order and was well packaged.

The book is great, but the box and the books were a bit damaged. Some pages are wrinkled but it's okay

初期アメリカンコミックスの巨人ウィンザー・マッケイ彼の作品の著作権は2005年に失効しており、最近沢山の本が出版されていますが、その中でもマストバイな一冊がこの本。マッケイの代表作にしてファンタジー漫画の金字塔とも言われる「夢の国のリトル・ニモ」は当時新聞の一面を丸ごと使って連載されていたのは有名な話ですがこの本はそれをオリジナルサイズで復元してしまったと言うとんでもない代物。新聞と言ってもタブロイド版(スポーツ新聞などの小さいサイズ)ではなくブランケット版(日刊紙などで使われるサイズ)であり、とてつもなく大きいです。よくもまあこんな本を出したなと、アメリカの出版社のチャレンジ精神に敬服します。しかも、この本は第2巻なのです。(1巻はすでに売り切れ絶版)。漫画史に燦然と輝く傑作なので、内容に関しては言うまでも無いでしょう。有名な図版（ベッドの足が伸びる夢とか)は1巻に収録されてしまっていますが、それでもまだまだ素晴らしい作品ばかり。特に1910年以降の作品がかなり綺麗に収録されているのが凄く良かったです。リトル・ニモに魅了された人なら一度はオリジナルサイズで読みたいと思った事があるはず、この本はそんな夢を叶え至福の時間を与えてくれます。ただ難点もいくつかあって・すごく重い(手に持って読むのは困難)・嵩張る(日本の住宅事情では読むのにも、保管にも困る)・表紙がただの紙でビニールコーティングみたいなのがされて無いので、傷や汚れが付きやすく、カドなどをぶつけると破けたりする。等々、法外な大きさの分、読むのにも、保管にもかなり苦労が伴う本でもあります。それでも、この大きさは難点を帳消しにして有り余るくらい魅力的だとは思いますけどね。1巻にはすでに数倍のプレミアが付いていますし、元々好事家向けの本なので再販も考え難いです。買い逃すと二度と手に入らない類いの本なので、迷っているようなら早めに決断された方が良いと思います。
