dts-x enhances stunning vistas
I mainly purchased this to test out dts-x in my 7.1 optimized surround system. It was my experience that the dts-x provided an enhanced experience. It expanded the surround sound into a natural cocoon, increasing the immersion of the brilliantly detailed vistas of Earth and the space station. Viewed in 4K on a large wall screen with full surround sound, this was almost as good as 3D and in some ways better. The Earth vistas and views of the space station were stunning. I'm used to seeing the impressive "wings" of the space station, but the detail reviewed in the 4K shots made them into true works of art. May the film's brief mention of fusion power come true and we humans not finish off the natural world cooking and despoiling our one and only planet! Just a magnificent production, thanks to all involved in making it. Bravo!

Insane graphics!
This movie received a 100% critics score on rottentomatoes which is unheard of! It received 80% on audience score. This movie is amazing and really captures some incredible space views. What people may not know is those 4K cameras were built and tested in NASA and attached to the international space station for the making of this IMAX movie. Since the cost to bring those amazing 4K cameras back was too great they had to let them burn up in the atmosphere on the completion of the directing. There was tremendous effort and cost in making this movie which earned over $7 million in the box office.Jennifer Lawrence did not dissapint as her narration is on point and really drove home the fragility and beauty of this wonderful place we cal home!!!I really enjoyed this movie and it's definitely a keeper!

The Earth Really is Beautiful in 4K
This IMAX based space documentary looked fantastic in 4K (there was a known audio sync issue on the copy I received, but the company who distributed the disc - Mill Creek Entertainment - was kind enough to send out a corrected disc free of charge). If you don't have $70 million to fly into low earth orbit, this is a pretty inexpensive way to visually simulate the experience of riding with the astronauts/cosmonauts as they take in those vistas (from the comfort of your couch).

Beautiful
It works fine on my high end video and audio system. I have Imax enabled Marantz equipment. The IMAX mode seems good. However, I am not sure that it is a lot different from what ATMOS would give you. Ditto on the HDR video. I bought it since I wanted to see what IMAX encoded material would be like. No complaints.

Spectacular Earth
The technical aspects of this 4K are outstanding. There are three key foci to this film: everyday life in the International space station, space, and especially earth. In my opinion this is only second to Hubble 3D as a “space” documentary. The DTS-X sound and 4K quality make this a must title if you have the equipment.

There are some great picture of earth.
The overall photography is terrific and unbelievable shots. The cameras being used were really very good showing all the preparation they had to do to get the pictures while floating around inside and out of the space station.A great disc.

An utterly stunning view of the Earth from space
This is one of the first two IMAX Enhanced movies, and it just looks phenomenal. Indeed, Earth from space at night looks so impossibly beautiful, you will think it was the world's most perfect CGI... and not actual footage from an IMAX camera. But what you see is 100% real.

Great Sound and Nice visuals
The item itself is visually well done and sound is great. It goes between spaceship, crew and Earth shots and random generated Mars shots. Reason i'm rating it a 3 is they go into the whole climate change speeches and effects it has on the Earth etc. When I buy a movie/documentary I try to escape serious topics and just sit back and enjoy the show/film. They also shoehorn in a speech about borders and how they're none from space etc etc you can see where this is going? I know the narrator is into that politically, I was hoping the film creator would avoid her personal views or skip it. Other reason is some shots are computer generated to make it more appealing when the product could stand on its own with real shots and less flashy fake imagery.
