Each of the books has a interesting story in them and it shows that not everyone has the same problems because some don't and some do

I bought this set for my classroom since we are reading another Jason Reynolds novel as a class. Every student who has borrowed one has ended up liking it enough to read the whole book and often the rest of the set. Jason Reynolds language is amazing from an English teacher perspective but his stories and characters are what hold the attention of even reluctant readers.

I love these books. I bought them to see if my high school students in a modified ELA classroom could read them-and fell in love with with this author. Reading level is easy to understand (students are at a k-5th grading reading level) super gripping and emotional reads.I have been struggling to get back to reading and these books reminded me why I love reading. Great for everyone!

I read these books because Kobe Bryant talked about these books before his untimely death, and I have to say these books are amazing not only for young adults but also adults. I don't want to give too much away, but each one of these books have lessons that apply to everyone. I couldn't put these books down and finished all of them in four days (I wanted to enjoy each one and reflect on them). I highly recommend them

My son does not like reading. Period. But he devoured these. The stories are fascinating, blending humour with serious social issues. But it's not preachy. The dialogue is realistic and the characters are heartwarming. The perfect book for someone around the age of 12.
