ecosystem Journal Blank: Medium Onyx Hardcover (ecosystem Series) Hardcover – August 4, 2009

This brand has been hit-or-miss for me. This is the third journal from this company I have gotten and it is an absolute hit! The obvious comparison would be to that of a Moleskine of the same size. This journal is thicker, and has bright white pages (which I highly prefer over cream colored pages). The paper quality is great for journaling and writing with some light drawing, though I don't recommend washes or heavy inks. The construction is very nice. The bookmark comes out easily but that's not a big issue for me. In this particular book it has been fine. I love this journal. It's amazing. I will be getting much more of this size and paper. Flipping through the pages of my written work has an amazing feeling to it.

I have been writing in journals for many years, and this may be my favorite! I ordered a medium flexi-cover with blank pages. The recycled paper seems to be of high quality. It has a great pocket in the back, not flimsy or easy to tear. There is a number in the back that supposedly will allow me to register the journal so it can be returned to me if it is lost, and also to get information about the origin of the material used in it--but when I went to the ecosystem website, I was unable to figure out how to do that. But, that doesn't dampen my enthusiasm about being able to write in a journal that is made from recycled materials in the United States, and clearly reflects creativity and care in quality and design. I will continue to look for these journals!

These are very similar to Moleskine except have perforated pages. I'm "paperless" although still carry a journal for meetings and notes when I need to diagram something or it's not practical to carry and iPad or computer. After I'm done I rip out the page and upload into Evernote. It's very easy to "scan" the page with my phone or just run it through a document scanner.

I bought this notebook after my Livescribe pen died. The perforated pages allow me to tear the pages out and scan them directly to Evernote. I find I actually like this method better than the Livescribe method (handwriting recorded to pen). I can now use any pen or pencil that I have on me. Excellent quality notebook.

I bought this journal to write down ideas and quickly sketch out concepts and it's PERFECT. It's small enough to carry around with me, but still big enough for what I need to do. I definitely recommend this notebook!

I like the amount of pages and love that ink doesn't bleed through.

This is my favourite sketchbook brand. I will be a fateful return customer. Quality paper, solid book, all is well when I can use it.
