Stumbled across this when looking for a portable sun shade to protect my daughter when she was playing in the yard. I have used the sportbrella product in the past but wanted something that was a bit more portable and didn't always need to be staked into the ground. I needed something that could be moved with my very active daughter and adjusted as the sun makes its path across the yard, in which this works great. Haven't had it for very long, but seems very sturdy and well thought out -- it even has storage pockets in the umbrella for the tie down cords, durable stakes, and a functional hammer. I ordered the green color and I will say that it is very bright, brighter than the photo gives justice, and was easy to find when I was out at the beach last.Al-in-all, very happy with the purchase!

I’ve used this umbrella at the beach, on the patio in the hot sun, and in the pouring rain. I’m very happy with it! Its prevented a lot of sun burn in my family. It’s durable, easy to use, easy to store and carry, and very well constructed. I bought another one for a friend as a gift.

Awesome umbrella. Beautifully made for the cost. Well designed and thought through. Love that it stands on one side to block sun or wind from an angle easily. Really like the sturdy construction and strong square tubing for the parts that spread out. That seems to be where most umbrellas fail. Finally I love the modern look and simplicity. Bought the grey of course and it is perfect used by the pool on its side to block the waning sun off our newborn.

This thing is terrible. First product the arm bent because opening it was extremely difficult less that 2 months later. I bought a second one because I thought it was user error. This one broke right out of the box as I was trying to open it. The arms broke through the umbrella end as it was trying to open. And the locking system to hold the umbrella was either broken or just doesn't work on both of them. I don't have the means to send it back so it's money lost. Don't waste your money!

This is a wonderfully designed umbrella however, we took it out for its maiden voyage last week and discovered however that the fabric has slight abrasions and holes wherever it rubbed against the umbrella hinges when folded. It works beautifully but it seems to me that a brand new umbrella should not have holes in the fabric clearly made by its hinges. We bought the same umbrella in blue and it is fine --- no holes - both purchased and delivered on the same day. Its outside of the return period -- we did not use it before _ otherwise I would be contacting the seller for a return Possibly I got the one bad one because otherwise this seems like a quality product It works very well

With a family of four, I needed a portable outdoor umbrella to protect our little ones from the sun out at the lake. The hammer included was great as it helped me pound the umbrella pole deep into the ground. The overall set up and take down was easy which is needed with 2 little kids under the age of 5. We were outdoors for a few hours and the large umbrella provided plenty of shade for all of us. We are happy with our purchase and would recommend it to anybody in the market for a big umbrella.

I just opened this umbrella and, despite the slightly bent rod, I love this umbrella. I hope the seller will make it right or my rating may change. We used the umbrella during two days at the Jersey shore, one of which had strong winds. The umbrella stayed put with no problems. I stood it next to my other tommy bahama umbrella, which bent and swayed in the sea wind. I suggest purchasing a screw-in anchor to further support the base, but not essential.Update: three days later the bent rod broke. I will be requesting my money back.

We bought this umbrella to replace one that we just threw away. It worked great at a recent trip to the beach. The mini hammer that comes with it made it really easy to get the umbrella deep enough in the sand to stay up all day. Once the sun went down we set it on it side to block the wind and sun towards the end of the day which helped prolong the trip with our 3 and 6 year old..... Would definitely recommend this to other family and friends!

Great standing up or on its side, quite durable. The only issue is I want more of them

Bought for shade for working in my garden. Absolutely love this umbrella. Unfortunately after only a dozen uses, the corners have begun to tear. Very disappointing. Still giving three stars as it is a great umbrella, just not built to last.
