Jenny's Birthday Book

If you’re looking for a giftable book, this is it. It has beautiful binding and illustrations. Great story, too.

This is a classic story. I highly recommend this for any age appropriate child...great literature

The Cat Club stories are some of my daughters' favorites. Jenny Linsky is a shy black cat who is a member of a club with many cats of different talents and personalities. New York City is a vivid setting for the many adventures of Jenny and the Club.For parents, this one, describing a celebration of Jenny's birthday, is not quite as charming as the original story in which the little black cat named Jenny joins the cat club, but my daughters still love it. The art is quite nice, too.

I bought this for my daughter's birthday. We are having a Jenny Linsky party with everything from a JL cake to invites to party favors. This book will be one of her presents, along with a knitted red scarf with six pom poms of course.It is a delightful story about Jenny's friends giving her a birthday party in the park. It is a tad steep for a 32 page book, but it does have adorable illustrations. Most of the other books are packed with more story, but this one has lots of full color illustrations (not all are color though) rather then black and white. Great for your cat loving kid.Don't miss the other books in the series either. Boys will enjoy the book "Pickles the Firecat" about a boy cat who wants to do "big things." Classic story, classic drawings, and to a boys delight, FIRETRUCKS.

This great little book came quickly and was just as nice as expected. The Jenny Linsky series is always a great choice, suitable for both younger and older children, and Esther Averill was both a talented illustrator and author.The book arrived in perfect condition and is certainly worth the price. I will order from this source again.

Circa 1969 I named my first cat Jenny after Jenny Linsky, so I was delighted to find the Cat Club books again. They're still a great read, and the stories are still relevant and meaningful for today's kids.

Great book for my niece's birthday. She loves cats and is an advanced reader for her age (6 years old). She liked the illustrations and laughed when she first read the name of the cat in the firehouse, Pickles.

表紙の窓際で真っ赤なマフラーをした黒猫がジェニーです。今日は彼女の誕生日。兄弟が彼女を迎えに来て、さぁ、これから一緒に誕生日パーティーへ、という瞬間の絵が表紙です。この表紙の絵が気に入るなら、中身はもっと、でしょう。どのページにも挿し絵があるのですが、挿し絵はカラーとモノクロのページが交互になっていて、その配分というのか、絵と色使いのバランスが絶妙です。黒猫ジェニーはシリーズでありますが、この誕生日の絵本は本当に絵本、で文章も短めです。でも、かわいさに変わりはありません。パーティー会場へ行く途中、仲間たちと合流していく姿もパーティー会場で踊る姿もかわいらしいです。誕生日を迎える友人へのプレゼントにも良さそうです。猫好きな方には特にオススメします。

予定よりも早く到着しました。配送によるダメージを心配していましたがまったくなく、よかったです。本自体も欲しかったものなので満足しています。
