Weak fittings.
The gas filled extension bar works well once loosened off - very stiff and impossible to move initially. But the two-hole fixture simply isn't strong enough to take the force needed in closing the 300N bar. The three-holed fixture holds up but the two-holed fixture buckles easily. I have two of these and both are equally buckled - I have no doubt they will fail imminently. Simply needs to be made from stronger material or designed differently.
