Colonel Sanders would approve.
For some asinine reason, I developed a problem with dropping passes over the last six months. I had some good success with some UnderArmour batting gloves but I wanted to try something specific for ultimate. Tried them today and these gloves are excellent. The dorsal surface of your hand breathes wonderfully in them while the palmar side has some very excellent, tacky coating that truly assists in helping you grab the disc. Personally, I feel they make my throws much crisper as well. My forehand flick releases beautifully in these and I can really send a laser at an open cutter. For the price, superb product. I also suffer from palmar hyperhidrosis and these gloves keep my hands dry. No more errant blades with these! Highly recommended if you have issues catching a disc, excessively sweaty hands, or want to throw that KFC-style extra crispy pass. My proximal hand to distal third digit measurement is roughly 18.6 cm so I opted for a small vs a medium so that the gloves would feel like an extension of the skin. I would say my full palm extension is only about 85% of normal with the smaller size but then again you don't catch a frisbee with your palm in the "high-five" position so I do not notice any functional restraints on the range of motion of my hands with the smaller size. Love them, will buy more if they ever quit on me.

Great for cold weather
I finally gave in and bought ultimate friction gloves. These are $10 cheaper than Friction gloves and Mint gloves so I chose these, and I'm really glad I got them. This is my first winter outside of California, so my first time playing in freezing and slightly below freezing weather. I resisted getting these since I don't want to rely on them, but they're working quite well. For reference, I got a size XS and my hands are 6.75" from the tip of my middle finger to the base of my palm, and 7.25" circumference around my knuckles, and the XS is a tad bit big. The velcro wrists help me pull them tight enough to work for me. The grip is pretty sticky, and I've been able to grab things I normally wouldn't, but my throws are still adjusting. I think my throws would probably be a little more accurate without, but I've also only played with them a couple times, so I'm still adjusting. In freezing cold weather, these are great just as an extra layer to help keep feeling in my hands, but they are thin and very breathable, so too far below freezing and if you add in wind, they don't do much at all for warmth.

Great pair of gloves!
I've been playing Ultimate regularly in summer leagues for the last several years. I'm a decent player. My backhands are good, I can catch well, but my forehands are around 50/50.With these gloves my backhand throws remain the same, but I've noticed an improvement with the confidence with which I catch the disc. Previously when there were some throws made at me that were a bit off there was maybe a 70/30 chance I would catch the disc properly (if the throw is made well I would catch properly almost 100% of the time :)), but with these gloves I've upped it up to maybe around 90/10 for catching throws that are a bit off! My forehand throws have also improved...I feel like they've gone up to maybe 75/25 with my throws going in the path I intended them to go in!Besides me personally noticing an improvement with my forehand throws and catching, my teammates have also commented the last couple of games since I've been wearing these gloves about how they think the gloves have been working out well for me too!I wasn't sure what to expect with these gloves...but after using them the last few games I didn't realize what I was missing all these years! In previous seasons I would jokingly ask some of my teammates who wore gloves "You wear gloves? Do they really help?" and I would always get the same answer "Yes, they help, you should get a pair!" But I kept putting it off because I wasn't convinced. Well, now I know better :)

"I didn't realize what I was missing."
I bought these for my son for Christmas. They were great quality but a little too big for him. So I gave them to my husband, LOL, and ordered another pair for my son in a smaller size. I rarely review items but these are too good not to. My son and my husband are natural athletes and are among the best players at their Saturday ULTIMATE game the last three or four years. My son's comment made me SO happy about my purchase: "I didn't realize what I was missing." Super cool. Delighted. Will definitely recommend and purchase more when new colors come out. Thank you, LAYOUT!!

Love these gloves
I love these gloves. I have used the friction gloves (good, durable), the Mints (expensive pieces of crud that rip easily) and the Layouts and I love the Layouts. Consistent grip in all conditions. Do you have to get used to throwing while wearing them........YES! It absolutely changes your throw. I play about 5 days a week. I have 2 sets of these and wear them every day. I wash both sets once a week. They are still tacky and work great, by far the best gloves I have ever owned.

I like these gloves a lot
I like these gloves a lot. Before this pair, I wore friction gloves for 3-4 years. The layouts are a bit thicker on the palm side than the friction gloves, but are a fair amount more grippy as well. I definitely prefer the Layouts to the friction 2.0's since the layouts have the grippy material on the side of the middle finger, giving you grip during flicks. The layouts also perform better in wet conditions. You also cant sweat through them as I, in addition to some of my teammates, have done with the Frictions over the course of a day. Also, I really appreciate the sweat wiping area on the back of the thumb.I think the only issue is that the gloves stretch a little more than I would have expected from laying out. I wear an XL friction glove but a medium layout for reference.Ultimate Experience: current handler on a Select Flight level club team + previously coached a regionals level college women's team

Best ultimate glove I've used.
Grip is far superior to any other ultimate glove on the market. Makes a huge difference in cold and wet conditions.

Best Gloves
These fit perfectly and have lasted almost a year for me. The grip on my throwing hand thumb has worn off and there's a small tear in between two fingers, but I use these things...

Great glove all around.
Got my first pair as a gift about 3 years ago and absolutely love them! I find that they really helped my throwing as well as catching.

Pretty good. I've stopped blaming the gloves for any bad throws originating from my hands, realizing that the gloves aren't the culprit.

I'm liking them a lot so far!
I ordered the xs women's size. The fingers and palm fit nice and perfect. Just the area between my thumb and pointer, there's a gap between my glove and where my hand actually...

Good Grip in a Decent Glove
While the performance is only a little better than a thin pair of mechanics gloves I used, these are a bit better designed, and fairly robust.

good gloves
My son likes these gloves for ultimate. The sizing description helped find a well-fitting pair. He has used them in one tournament that was quite cold and he was pleased.
