Lovely art deco cut from a vinyl 33 record
My last office wall clock died. I didn't want to go through the trouble of measuring for the exact this and that's to replace the battery clock to make it work again. I think I had become accustomed to the gentle sound it makes as the second hand moves around. I wanted an upgrade using my same theme. What sold me on this one was the delicate cinema art conjuring up yesterday's stories on film. I love it. What I didn't realize until it came, it is a cut out from an old vinyl record. Duh. I re-read the description and that's what it says it is. I'm sure its a deal where one person did the original art and some laser cuts them out from a computer image. Thanks okay by me. Fits perfect in my home office above my TV/monitor and desk. The black accents are stark against the dark salmon pink walls and my brown drapes. Seller packaged it well and sent it quickly. It's now hanging in the same place as the old one. Inspired with my new look, I decided to change out my ceiling fixture, too. I am donating a wagon wheel amber lamp which seemed large in this small room but I just never got around to changing it. Now, inspired with my new cinema clock, I purchased a lamp fixture that looks like the cinema spot lights of old and my new 3 lamp fixture, fitted with energy efficient LEDs, is now installed on my ceiling. Old lamps for new. Perfect timing for a new clock with an old theme. Maybe you'll be inspired, too.
