Very helpful in extending the life of pointe shoes

I am using both the Instant Jet Glue and the Slow Jet Glue. The Instant is as thin as water, so caution must be used not to waste it. However, it works very well. The Slow is thicker and sets up more slowly, giving you more working time. In my case, I work with soapstone. Both glues are very transparent, and the best thing is that there is very little effect on the coloration of what you are gluing. For me, the only problem was very slow delivery. It took over ten days for it to travel from Pennsylvania to Wisconsin. Despite this, I will certainly order it again....and again.

Make sure you wear gloves!!

It works as designed. If you need to glue shoes or other such materials, then it works great. This works fabulously on ballet pointe shoes. I have a family member that goes through her pointe shoes really quickly, and this glue does make them last a little bit longer.

Works great for pointe shoe reinforcement! Bottle is clean and easy to use. Wish it had a brush to “paint” the glue onto tricky places in a neater, cleaner fashion.

Jet is my preferred craft glue for beading, assemblage and models. It has a consistencies similar to water. It sets very quickly and is very versatile. It will stick most things together very firmly, and stiffen fabrics. Just avoid getting it on yourself, or clothing and definitely avoid inhaling it. I would suggest using it in a well ventilated area or using a dust mask.

My daughter has been en pointe for 7 years, and now is an apprentice at a ballet company. Jet Glue, properly applied, will literally save you hundreds of dollars if your daughter goes through a lot of pointe shoes. Last year, it was about 15 pairs, and it seems that the glue makes them last about twice as long. That's $1,200 in one year!
