Easy to install
The Noctua NH-U9 TR4-SP3 is a premium CPU cooler designed for AMD Ryzen. It was easy to install and fit perfectly on my motherboard and processor. The cooler works great, runs quietly, and effectively cools down my processor without any issues. The installation process was very straightforward, and the included instructions provided a step-by-step guide for a proper installation. The package comes with everything needed for installation, including the thermal paste.

Fit's perfect in Silver Stone case
I had an ATX motherboard with AMD 2950 thread ripper CPU and wanted to use it in a smaller pc case such as the Silver Stone GD08B. The motherboard fits as well as the Noctua NH-U9 TR4. However, it's a very tight fit and I would not recommend using an ATX motherboard in this case. I had to remove the two bottom case fans as well as the SSD cage in order to attach the SATA data cables to MB connections. Also, there is barely enough space between the cooler and the CD/DVD power and data cable connections. But, the Noctua cooler is fantastic!

Works very well
Using it on an Epyc Rome with 32 cores, that's 64 threads. The small profile is great, I tried a smaller fan unit but the average temp on the small one was 75C, but using this cooler the average is 50C!

Blizzard cold (well not literally)
Great cooler, bought the smallest one to fit in a 4u chassis with an sp3 and epyc and it’s noctua so of course it’s quiet, moves some good air and cool. 32 core epyc 7002 at 2.9ghz I don’t run it hard all the time but I have yet to get a thermal throttle. It fits in a 4 u chassis but also fits in my ancient nzxt m59 with a supermicro h11. Worked well til the server rack got in. Anyway good quality, solid design, and fits how it should!

Good for TR4
My liquid cooler died and I needed a cooler fast. Amazon delivered this Noctua NH-U9 fast within 36 hours. There aren't a whole lot of TR4 cooling solutions out these days. I guess it's an old chip. I am using this on my 1920x. I had to remove one stick of my vengeance RAM to fit it. Keeps the cpu hotspot at 65 under load, Celsius. Under sustained load it may be a bit higher. My liquid cooler wasn't running great after it's first year the temps got higher. Think the microfins got clogged. This Noctua NH-U9 arrived fast, came with a y fan splitter, and paste and even a tool to screw the heatsink on. The temps are about what you would expect for it's size, won't have to replace this cooler for a long while though.

Product sucked, but AAA customer support.
Literally first time off setting the heatsink, I had a screw break in the heatsink. That when I notice the other 2 screw's thread is crap. Emailed them, they responded quickly, they asked for invoice and a picture of the heatsink, I showed........4 days so far with no response after that. That's not even taking in the fact that the whole process is literally stupid to do the off setting to begin with. Then there is the ram issues you gonna have with this heatsink. The ram slots closest to the socket will be blocked.Crap support for a overprice, crap heatsink. First and last time I buy from this company.Update: They sent me a new one after contacting them. Literally a week before warranty becomes expired; they honored it.

Smallest Treadripper Air Cooler
So this is the smallest Threadripper air cooler out there at 125mm in height and really it is meant for server racks or SFF builds that just don't have the height clearance. If your case has substantially clearance I would recommend skipping the U9 and U12 all together and just go with the U14 TR version since all of these coolers are so closely priced together but the U14 is the only chip that offers very good cooling with real overclocking potential. With this said the U9 TR4 is rated at 180W TDP, so yes it can handle a 1920X-2920X to a 1950X-2950X but not the WX series chips. The cooler is beautifully packaged and comes with all sorts of cables, a long screw driver, and thermal paste. The 92mm fans aren't as quiet as I thought they would be at full load but still aren't obnoxious. Mounting was super easy but it should be noted that this cooler does require low profile RAM or the fans interfere with the RAM. You can slide up fans up the heat sink but I am not sure how that effects cooling. I have the NH U9 TR4 in a mATX Sliger Cerberus 18.5L case with 6 case fans. The two most important case fans for my build are the top mounted 120 slim exhaust fan and the most important one is the side bracket mounted fan that intakes air and it sits right above the cooler barley not touching it. The side bracket fan lowered Idle temps from 39C to 34C and allowed me to run my previous Ryzen Master settings that I had with an Asetek 240mm AIO. When stress tested with CPUZ I am getting 67.75C which just barley is under the 68C throttling limit. Overall this is the only TR4 air cooler that fits into my case and by no means is it a bad one, but it does takes a bunch of fans to keep it properly cooled
