This is exactly what I wanted to use to make mint julip cocktails. Solid wood,12-inch - perfect for muddling. Better than advertised. This would make a great gift. Even the box is quality. Worth every penny.

This muddler is a good one. Heavyweight for sure.

What can you say about a muddler? Well, it turns out that not all of them are good. I bought 2 wooden muddlers on Amazon and by the second use (same night) they had developed serious splits. This is bad cosmetically but also for health because you are not supposed to wash the wooden ones. Anyway, the black plastic muddler works well, has enough length for tall mixing grasses, cleans easily and doesn’t add any off-taste. It cost more than many others, but it is worth it. I comes with a cardboard tube shipping box that is ok for storage. Now I must go to attend to my mint plants....

This is a wonderful muddler. It is very large....very large. Your knuckles will be safe from smacking the side of your tins or mixing glasses. The biggest feature for me is the flat muddling end. For me, having a flat end on my muddler is critical so as to not tear and pulverize mint and other more delicate ingredients. I never use muddlers with teeth or other raised parts on the end. This thing might even work well for cracking or even crushing ice. I think this will be the last muddler I have to buy.

This muddler is sturdy and strong. Definitely think it will last a while.

Hard wood is my best choice for a home bar

My little one works fine for mint but when making shashes or anything with ginger I go for the big boy.
