I enjoyed seeing the pictures as I remember my parents having this magazine when I was growing up.

This book is absolutly amazing, there are pictures that took me by surprise, they were cold, to the point, children dying, emaciated etc., Yes thru this there are also many beautiful, graceful pictures ... I was surprised how far back they went,I really appreciated the descrfiptions of the pictures to be direct, to the point!!! I would highly, highly recommend this book if you want to see life as it was / is through pictures!!! You won't be able to put it down, I guarantee it!!! B. Anne Snider

Pictures speak. Great pictures send our minds back to the times and events that are now almost forgotten. For a person my age, this book brings back memories. For the young, this book will introduce times not known and perhaps kindle interest in recent history. Knowing history is important. If we are smart, we allow history to teach. We need to learn something.

The pictures are great and very interesting to be allowed to see how history can be appreciated...I made the purchase for Christmas gifts...My brother-in-law served in the Marine Corps and fought inViet Nam. There was a picture of him in this magazine...A three cheers and high five for all vets...

Brings back memories awesome book

I am a photographer, so looking at the work of other photographers is enjoyable. Plus, this collection is like a history book and a reminder of important events in my lifetime. I'm sure to be looking through it again and again.

I bought this as a gift for a photographer friend on his 70th birthday and he was delighted with it.

I bought this for my husband for his birthday. It is an amzing book, with some amazing images including all the covers for the last 70 years. We have it outon our coffee table, and when anyone comes to our house they are immeadiately engrossed in it.

This book is exactly as described, packed with memorable photos of Life's 70 year history - and inside the back cover is a pull-out frame with Life's arguably most famous photo, the end of the war kiss and celebration in Times Square. The retrospective makes a great gift - with overall good quality photos. (And right now it's a great price too.)
