Is it perfect, no! The self closing duct is made of plastic flaps with plastic pins which allow the flaps to rotate open. Since the pins are plastic, they are very fragile and break very easily. One of my helpers stuck his hand into to the plastic duct and broke the rotating pins on the duct. I have installed a self closing duct on the metal extractor ducting pipe which outlets to the outside making the one on the extractor a duplicate.After all that, I love my new extractor and my wife is very happy! It is very well engineered except for the plastic pins on the self closing duct.I used a jack to lift the extractor under the half cabinet. You either need to do this or remove your stove so you can lift straight up on the extractor. It is very heavy, 50 pounds, compared to other models but that is because of the powerful fans. It really does the job!

I have this installed and it has been in use for a couple weeks now. It looks very stylish in the kitchen. It is doing what it's supposed to do, and I found that there was a small amount of oil being collected in the collector. At this rate, it will be quite a while before I need to empty it. I put a little bit of dish washing detergent inside of the collector as a preemptive measure. In theory, it will make this easier to clean later. The lamps are bright and lit up the cooking area very well. In general, I am happy with this purchase.Previous, I have read reviews about the clock being an issue. That is not the case here. The clock is working just fine and it is easy to read. However, my unit did lock up once. I don't mean the motors, but the controls. The unit has power and the clock was running. However, it would not respond to any of the touch controls. At the end, I have to pull the plug on it to reset it. The manual states that the lights have two settings, high and low, but they don't. You could only turn them on or off. I also wish the unit has a delay-off feature. It would be a great addition to this unit.I have not yet tried the self-cleaning feature. But I learned that before you use it, you have to take the oil pan down, and attach the cleaning pan. It's not as simple as I have hope. Since I have such low mileage on the hood, I'm not ready to go through the cleaning cycle, yet. So, I can not give a review on the effectiveness of the feature.

I ordered this item after reading the reviews. The hood fits well but it took me a while to mount it (hence 4 stars instead of 5). I am quite handy with installation so this should not be a problem for me but it took a while to get the exhaust aligned to the outlet vent.So far it is working as expect. I expected the fan to be silent but it is slightly noisier than I expected. Other than that, it is a good hood.

I bought this hood for my kitchen, because I needed something powerful. I was waiting for it so much and was a little disappointed when received it. First of all it was dented on one of the corners. It is not light item, so I assumed it was dropped. After my husband installed it and we tried it, we hear noise like waves of air, it's working but not in full power, and now I'm thinking if something else was damaged on the way to us. We'll see, if my husband can figure it out or we just return it.

Have it for half year. The best I have ever had and good price as well. The suction power is really good that made our house less smell. Easy to clean too.

We plugged it in and only the clock works! Nothing else works!

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Have this up and running for a week, it is powerful and quiet. The installation is very easy since i don't have to deal with hardwired. Need 2 people for the installation since it is kinda heavy.

Received on time and product looks good and installation was simple are easy, took 15 minutes over all. But dim option for light is not working inquired got a response that the feature is removed and no longer available, that was disappointed.
