They have worked great right out of the box. Audio quality is very good, and these can get LOUD. They sound great with a Bluetooth record player too. No problems whatsoever with the Bluetooth connection. Once you figure out how to connect, it’s as simple as a tap on your smartphone. My only complaint is that the photo in this listing must be for the new model. These were completely wrapped in a textured white vinyl, whereas the photos here look like the sides have a subtle wood grain. This listing must be for the older model and the photo is the current model. Personally, I had a problem with the stark white speakers. They stick out like a sore thumb in your home. I ended up making a nice project for myself and removing the vinyl, sanding, staining and clear coating the boxes, making them look like proper ‘classic’ speaker enclosures. I also hate the look of an open speaker. I feel like something will eventually puncture them, it’s only a matter of time. So, I also constructed screens that Velcro over the faces. They look MUCH better now. Hope this inspires someone else!

The sound is good but the bluetooth is really bad to the point we cannot use it. Amazon was AMAZING and we got a replacement very quickly. The replacement performs even worse. The sound keeps cutting out. We will return and buy something else. Really disappointing.

The Speakers sounded excellent and were easy to set up however they came in poor shape. The white finish was peeling off one of the speakers. They should have never sent them out.

I wanted a great pair of Bluetooth compatible speakers that would fill my kitchen with a quality sound. I'd never heard of Thonet and Vander...but..the reviews were good and for the price, I thought it was worth a shot. Long story short, I love the speakers. They are far superior to the smaller single speaker bluetooth speakers that I looked at. Lastly, there was an issue with the speaker grills...I reached out to customer service and had replacement grills in the next few days. No hastle...just GREAT Customer service and great speakers.I'll buy Thonet and Vander Speakers again.

The Thonet & Vander Hoch has extremely nice bass and incredible sound with no bass distortion on very loud volume. It's great for the price and you couldn't ask for anything better. My only complaint would have to be the limited range with the remote, which only works up to 2-3 feet away from the speaker.

The sound is great, but there is a problem. The volume-down button is stuck in down position, and turns down the volume to zero when no other buttons are pressed. I left a message with the support number offered by the seller on other reviews. I am disappointed that something so small can ruin a great experience as these speakers have great sound.

Dope speakers, but they some times looses connection with the Bluetooth. Not sure why but built very sturdy.

Super disappointed. I bought these a few months back and finally got around to setting them up in my home office. Plugged them in and put on some music and man did they sound awesome! The next time I turned them on we ran into a problem. The power came up but there was zero sound coming out of the speakers. I swapped out the mini cable thinking maybe it was a bad cable. Nope. Nothing. Tried the bluetooth, nope. Tried the aux input. Still nothing. Tried a half dozen other tricks to troubleshoot and got nowhere.Incredibly disappointed. Loved the sound and service.This are awesome speakers with the perfect sound and clarity. I wouldnt call them loud. but they are ideal for a normal room size.

man kann nicht viel darüber wirklich schreiben zu den boxensehr warmer ausgegelicherner Klang mit ein guten klaren Bassebene. Automatische Standby. Gute Verarbeitung. ich muss dabei sagen ich war an über legen mir bose companion 5.0 zu zulegen. Beide klingen gut aber mein eindurck ist das die Hoch 2.0 tacken wärmer klingen. Es läuft bei mir meisten Music im stille von House Klassik und epic.leider gibt es an dieser stelle auch 2 negative punkte 1. keine batterie 2. nicht eintellbare Standby zeit.

Bought this speaker set only for its looks. Goes well with my 27" imac. This set performs well except producing deep bass. Bass lovers might get disappointed. The pictures here on amazon are of old model. New one looks plain from front and doesnt come with front covers. Also they look all plastic made (Wooden made in old model).Buttons on side make noise when pressed and feel low quality plastic. Speakers are only impressive at mids and trebles. 20k is pretty big amount for this set. I m giving 3 stars for sound and 4 stars for looks.

Apr. 2018: Umtausch über Amazon verlief problemlos, nachdem man sich durch die Menüs gewühlt hatte und endlich jemand am Telefon hat: ***** 5 Sterne. Lautsprecher tun jetzt und laufen gerade im Hintergrund. Wirken von der Optik her hochwertig, aber Tasten und Fernbedienung zeigen deutliche Filigranität. Bluetooth mit iPhone 6s funktioniert momentan perfekt. Sound etwas schwachbrüstig, insbes. bei Bässen, aber zur täglichen Untermalung auf höherem Niveau als mit den Mikro-Bluetooth Lautsprechern gut geeignet. Kommen soundmaßig aber nicht an die Sony GTK-XB5 ran, die ich zwischenzeitlich für die ersten Parties meiner Mädels gekauft habe (kosten allerdings auch das Doppelte und sind mit Lichteffekten bedingt alltagstauglich im Wohnzimmer). Insgesamt solide Performance so lange sie tun. Kaufempfehlung bei guter Umtauschmöglichkeit bei Hoffnung, dass sie etwas mehr als die Garantiezeit durchhalten für alle, die keinen fetten Partysound erwarten.Feb. 2018: An sich richtig gut und haben immerhin auch ca. 15min getan. Dann kein Ton mehr. Hatte leider gedacht, dass dies an Bluetooth meines Abspielgeräts gedacht und dann die nächsten Wochen keine Zeit gehabt weiter zu probieren. Leider kommt nun weder mit Kabel noch Bluetooth ein Ton aus den Teilen. Rücksendefrist ist abgelaufen. Mal sehen, wie ich die Teile zurück bekomme und mein Geld wieder sehe. Ansonsten passionierter online-shopper, aber das gibt zu Denken ....
