Guinea Pig Hay Bag Feeder

I have been looking for YEARS for a great hay feeder and I have come up short. I have tried big box retail options all the way to the DIY options and nothing has been great...up until now!!This hay feeder solves SO many frustrating problems. For one, no more getting hay all over the floor trying to transport it into your piggie cage! I take the hay bag over to the box and fill it up and take it to the cage, no problem. This sounds so simple but there is NOTHING else out there that works!!For second, it feeds a good amount of hay to the piggies. I pull some out so there is hay sticking out of the holes, makes it super easy for the piglets.Another great solve is that I needed something to keep most the hay off the ground. Solves so many issues like gnats or dirty wet hay spots, etc.Lastly this hat feeder is so stylish!! I have other purple themed items from piggy bedspreads and this hay feeder is SO GREAT looking. My piggies love it and so do I!!!

I almost feel guilty writing this because I can tell it's a sturdy and well made item, however it just doesn't work for my pigs. Maybe it's because my little fatties are voracious when they eat and a little on the simple side, but at the end of the day there would be tons of hay they couldn't reach. Basically they would eat until their little heads couldn't reach inside of the hay bag. I'd rather my little piglets have full disposal of the hay not just for eating but for playing with also. Just didn't work for my little dumdums :)

I bought this for my 3 boy guinea pigs. They all love it! It helps keep they hay dust to minimum, it's super easy to fill, keeps the "kitchen" area cleaner (than a manger style hay rack) and the small bag is big enough for my 3 pigs' hay consumption. It is constructed very well so I doubt I will need a new one any time soon but if I should I am buying this exact one again!

This has been a fabulous feeder for our piggies! We went through a few feeders before landing on this one. All the others allowed my piggies to pull the hay out and make a mess all over. This one definitely is less messy. The only slight downside I've found is I have to occasionally shove the hay down farther into the bag so my piggies can reach it through the holes. Not a big deal as long as you can check on your pigs a couple times a day. There's also a 4 hole version of this that would allow you to go longer between hay loading/shoving sessions. The quality of the bag is top-notch and will definitely hold up for a long time. The seller/maker was also very responsive when I had a question.

After looking for a solution for the mess that pet store hay dispensers were leaving me with, I came across this product. I have been using this product for several months and I really love it. It is made very well and I love the variety of color options and sizes. It keeps the cage much cleaner and most importantly it keeps hay from getting wasted and falling on the floor behind my dresser. The only thing I would change about this product would be the size of the holes where my guinea pigs eat hay. After they reach a certain point they can’t get their faces any deeper into the bag to continue eating so I have to push the hay down every couple of hours so they can still reach it. Otherwise this product works really well for me and I would recommend it to small pet owners.

I loved this hay feeder. It really helped to keep the messiness of hay under control. I gambled this product would work for me. Unfortunately, I have two small destructive rabbits. They chewed a hole in it. :(But I'm still giving 5 stars. So much neater and cleaner than other feeders I've tried.

I've always liked hay bags because they keep the cage so much cleaner but I stopped getting them because I had to keep replacing them due to rips or stains. This is exactly what I've needed! I debated getting one large one or two small ones but they are great sizes and one small one holds enough hay for my 3 guinea pigs for a day. I'm excited to keep buying more from a pig loving company!

This feeder works great, but it a little too large for our cage. It's not a grid style, it's a Midwest, so a bit narrower. If I put it on the long wall it works ok, but then there's grass everywhere. Might look at getting the smaller one.
