Received today.. Comments show everyone complaint about white patches but vendor is sleeping I hope.. no response to anyone.. this vendor is damaging promark brand name for sure..

Bought it for my son. The coating on the surface is very grippy and never slips. My son played his first live gig with these and it definitely helped. But once it takes some beating, the black sticks don't look great from around the tip area of the stick where it wears off. But the coating is still intact on the top end where you hold it and still grips very well. Function over form.

I tried these sticks because the stick in my right end was slipping when I was doing fast beats on the hi-hat. A friend recommended them to me. Definetly does the trick. When you play a lot with them at first, be ready to lose some chunk of skins on your finger though.
