it took me some time to install it because of the confusion between ez mount and secure mount.and also the enrollment steps but that its been a freezelove it

Look is so deceiving, really cool to hold built like a tank, seems heavy duty. that's what I thought, mine didn't even lasted long enough that the 4 AA batteries weren't changed from the beginning.What happened was the locking pin is not that thick to withstand normal use. (not more than 5 times a day) So once that breaks your $240.00 is gone. The rotation of my lock went 360 degrees which it should only be at 90degrees, So I opened it and found the small chip of metal broken which is use to trigger the lock and unlock mechanism.Tried to fix it but hard to remove the remaining piece and it's not easy to find that piece of pin....One issue also is if it get cold lower than 20deg, it will not recognize your print so have the key handy.

Bought this in 2013 when i had home built and still working strong. Lost the key and only ordering another one now cause i want to re-key my kwikset locks to match front door. This lock is durable and lets off audible sounds when battery is low and only had to replace it every 2 years with regular Duracell batteries. Great feature is anyone leaving can lock it by opening and closing the fingerprint cover no registered fingerprints needed to lock just to open. One downside is if you get a cut or have dirty fingers it wont let you in so suggest you register multiple fingers.

worked well for first 6 months now impossible to program more than 1 finger..and i can't get a hold of any one in customer service ..all phone numbers on website are no good.
