The Secrets of Stonehenge Hardcover – August 27, 2013

Not a ton of detail but some. Great pictures. I got for my 9yo but would be more appropriate for a 6 you reading with an adult.

GRANDCHILD LOVED IT......

The Secrets of Stonehenge is a great introductory book on one of the most mysterious places on earth. Topics covered include the Wildwood, agriculture, domestication of animals, religious rituals, the Aubrey Hales, the Bluestones, the Sarsen stones, and the Amesbury Archer. The book also provides a time line of construction as well as possible explanations as to how and why Stonehenge was built. A glossary is included. With illustrations on every page, this book is ideal for young readers or anyone seeking a good survey on one of the greatest ancient sites in the world.

Smashing little book, nearly kept it for myself, but my 9 yr old great nephew is very interested in Stonehenge (bright Lad) and this is perfect for him. I bought him a small model of the henge from Waterstones for him a year ago which is a favourite 'toy'.

Great book for 9yr old needs a follow up regarding what's going on under Stonehenge

I bought this for my nephews, as a Solstice present.I loved it, my brother loves it the nephews love it.Suitable for all but written, and illustrated with 7-11 yr olds in mind.

My 6 year old adores this book.

My son found this so useful he is studying Stone Age in class he is year 3
