The beautiful packaging was the initial decision maker for me. When I received it I immediately thought what a great gift it would make because of it's cool box, really another level for this great packaging.The RICHAXE Chef Knife Viking Series is a high quality knife at a very good price. I've been researching knives, knife steels, and sharpening techniques a lot this year and I wanted to upgrade at least one knife in my home to something really quality without breaking the bank. It needed to be a good chopper, stay sharp, easily sharpen, and cut with precision. This knife seemed to meet all my criteria so I purchased and I am very happy so far. I have not needed to sharpen it yet, but I am confident it will be easily sharpened and hold an edge. It also is light and easy to handle which makes precision cutting seem easy. I found the knife to be well packaged and in a pretty neat display case. The knife has a good weight to it and very balanced in hand. Trimming a brisket I found the edge to be very sharp and a perfect curve for doing even the tightest trim work on a brisket. Highly Recommended Budget Knife. I will update the review over time to give a fair evaluation of how well the knife holds an edge. Very satisfied out of the box and using the knife thus far.

A great gift for anyone who cooks. It is razor sharp and a joy to behold. Unfortunately I do not get to use it very much because of its length. Most of my work is better done with an 8-inch knife. If you need a gift to anyone who cooks, this is agreat guift in a terrific presentation box.

The price tag claimed that it was lowered from like $70 to $25... It looked good on the screen but when I've got it, it was only a $25 knife. The handle was almost round. It did not fit in my hand well. Had unpolished spots... The edge geometrywas not acceptable for a chef's knife... I had to return it.

Comes in a nice box and outer sleeve with plastic caps installed for safety. It's super sharp and a great looking knife. While preparing Tri-Tip for dinner tonight I was thinking..hmm, I need to finally sharpen this, but man it still feels nice in the hand. I'm pleased with my purchase and have recommended to others.

I got this knife last week and used it all weekend. I'm actually really surprised how sharp it came. That was a nice little plus!It feels really nice to hold and cut with. Very sturdy and feels like it will last a very long time. I definitely recommend this.

Uses Krupp German stainless steel. Well made, easay to keep sharp, just a touch up eery couple days with a good steel does it. Home cook btw. Very happy with this knife even at $50 it would be great.
