A few comments. I normally don't leave 5 star reviews, because there's always _something_ that would make it four. But I can't really think of anything significant for this. That said, it is what it claims to be. The "window" is glass. There seem to be a few reviews commenting on this that they received plastic, but unless the vendor has some sort of ultra dense/stiff plastic, mine's glass. The finish is a very high gloss which works well with what you're putting in it. There are a few "non-glossy" patches that I'd attribute to shipping (it would benefit from some better packing), but you need to look for them and I suspect some polish will fix that. As others have commented, the interior color is a little weird at first. I'd call it cat-puke green. But with watches installed, it looks fine. The felt lined bottom is awesome. And the box itself has a heft to it that gives the impression of something substantial. It's not from Ikea. Only regret is not buying something larger than 12 slot, as this makes me want to buy more watches, but I've got a few slots to go before it's full. Good job, vendor.

When we ordered the case, we thought it would be the typical overseas quality... But we were wrong. This is a beautiful case that is well built. I believe the top is glass as it does not feel like cheap plastic. The pillows are firm but with a thin layer of cushion. The latch mechanism is to keep the door top closed and not to "lock" it for security. Not sure why people would think it would be to lock, if someone wanted a watch, they would just take the whole thing. The hings are very good quality and the top does not flex at all. The color and finish are top quality and again not a cheap run off. I'm not sure that the negative replies in this feed are from the same box as this one has really exceeded my expectations. If I had to say anything negative about the case it would be the pillow being slightly hard to get out when you don't have a watch on it. But pushing down on the bottom edge of the pillow causes the top to lift making it easier to get out.

Really nice and worth the price.

This watch case almost met all of my expectations based on its' size and outward appearance with the exception of two nicks in the finish next to the right hand hinge which can be easily seen when the case is opened and a mark on the wood under the polyurethane finish on the right hand side of the box. Usually I would send this type of cosmetic defect back and request a new one but I liked the over look of the case and will try to not let the obvious blemishes bother me since I really needed to store my new watches I received for Christmas and my Anniversary and didn't want to wait for a return and the hassle of having to package it up and ship it back. I actually intend to purchase another one and since I'm not hurting for a space for my last remaining watches I will definitely be returning it for a replacement if I have the same issues and will keep doing so until I receive a new one in pristine condition. Had this one been without the defects I would have gladly given it 5 Stars and hopefully I can on the next one I receive.....

This is a solid, well made watch box. The finish is excellent although it suffers micro-abrasions from the packing material on its journey from China. The watch pillows aren't pillows at all, rather they are rigid and can be difficult to close a watch bracelet around unless your wrist is big. Still, after saying all of that, I will buy another. It's a lot of box for fifty bucks. Recommended.

I bought this for my watch loving husband for Christmas. This box is even more gorgeous in person. It looks very well made, it’s sturdy and has some weight to it. I especially like the glass top to see all your watches. The bottom is lined with black felt so it won’t scratch your furniture. My husband loves it and he immediately put all his watches in there. This is a great buy. Definitely recommend.

The case overall is very nice, beautiful veneer finish, somewhat disappointed that the clear top was not glass, and most unfortunate is that the lock does not work with the key, I have fiddled with this and can not get the lock to work.

Nice box. Yes, the clear window is plastic. The pillows are not very squishy but very firm. The finish is good with a few imperfections but the hinges are sturdy. Very nice considering some cheaper boxes are just as expensive. The latch does not lock but works well. The dividers fit very tightly and seem like they would be a pain to remove. Despite the imperfections, this is a great value. I only gave 4 stars because of the plastic window. I'm sure most people would prefer glass like me.

The Mahogany finish is rich and classy. The Cherry wood one is excellent as well. The hinges are high quality, so many cases just have a cord or ribbon, these hinges allow the case to open and close without side movement and therefore secure. It is nice having the colour inside a light orange/off white, easy on the eyes and blends with the case wood, where many cases have the dull grey! Well made case with extra large pockets if required. Very happy with the purchase it was a gift, that the person treasures how it features his watches. Says he will have to buy more now!

Very well built watch case. Wood finish looks beautiful. Sturdy hinges. Im very happy with my purchase.
