Back on Track Therapeutic Horse Western Pad, 31 by 30-Inch

Fits a 15 hand short backed quarter horse who has a “cold” back - has reduced soreness under saddle and made him way more pleasant

I have a mare the vet suspects of Kissing Spine in her lower back. (Haven't done X-rays to confirm). She's traditionally slow to warm up, and struggles to engage and drive her hind end up under her.This liner made a noticeable difference immediately. She is moving more correctly, and is much softer in her body. Soft is not typically a word I would use to describe her, but applies with this liner.When I take it off, I can feel the warmth in the pad. I'd compare the warmth to that of putting on a hoody freshly out of the dryer. Not to hot, but just right that you feel all snuggly. I imagine thats what this pad feels like to my mare.I'm now going to order a second one for my other mare with no back issues, because, why not? I'm truly impressed with this.I'll also add- I have not noticed any slipping of this liner under my normal pad. I've had other liners slide right out, but this one seems to stay in place pretty well.

I have to admit when I first read 'state of the art fabric' and 'ceramic powder' I my thoughts were on the lines of 'Well, there is one born every minute.' but I LOVE this pad. I read other reviews before I bought it and was concerned it would be too thin. it is a very thin bad. However, it works so well under my saddle blanket that i only wish I would have had one all along. I had to find something to replace my thick western pad when my young horse suddenly grew and I bought this and a thin blanket and the combination is even better than my thick pad. This pad molds to her body and does not shift or move at all. Agin, it is very thin and I do not feel it will overcome an ill-fitting saddle but I believe that nothing will overcome that. You need to put a saddle that fits on your horse. I am so glad I found it and I highly recommend it. My horse is very comfortable and I have no dry spots when I remove it.

It’s a good liner but sometimes slides back on my horse if the saddle isn’t on her tight.

I am VERY pleased with my Back on Track western pad and will probably in future invest in a mesh sheet as well. My mare really seems to respond to the pad and has worked much more consistently soft and supple since I started using it. She was never cold backed but could move stiffly at times and I feel that this pad has helped alleviate that. My only trouble is it is a couple inches smaller than my regular work pad and I am concerned about it moving under there without being able to see it, but so far it has stayed in place during regular arena work and one show. All in all, I would HIGHLY recommend trying this pad for anyone whose horse doesn't move free and loose during regular work. I'm pleased with my results.

I have a horse who gets a sore back and this helps her to stay pain and sore free! Sits perfectly under her regular saddle pad, doesn't slip around if put on correctly.

I love this My own back was killing me the day it came and I laid it over my back for about an hour. It really did feel so much better. I went out the next day and got a back on track ankle brace for myself which I also love. It's been great on my horse with just a wool blanket over it he seems much happier with my saddle. The price may seem a bit much but I had a thick gel pad before that was over 100 dollars more and he was never very happy with it. And with it not being so bulky I feel I have better contact with him.

Very well made pad. The shape is awesome and does really fit my fresian baroque mare perfectly. I use it under my wool blankets under my reining saddle. Since using the pad, my mare seems to demonstrate more flexibility and is more responsive to loping. The pad does not move and stays well in place.I’ve owned the dressage back on track pad in the past and was really surprised when I got the western pad since the latter is much thinner than the dressage one. Future will tell if the quality holds.
