I didnt know what a lactometer looks like and ordered this.Actually each tube in the picture is a single lactometer.It can be reused.You have to fill milk in a vessel and place the tube with bulb part on bottom in it.It will sink and then float.When it floats,you can see the mark in the paper inside the tube and if it is 1/4 then 1 in 4 parts of the milk is water.similarly 2/4,3/4 and completely sunk means 2 parts,3 parts and all 4 parts of 4 parts milk is water respectively.
