Manatees (National Geographic Kids Readers, Level 2)

This was perfect for younger kids with extra details to even interest the older kids. It's only a few pages long but offers tons of information and beautiful vibrant pictures. It was the perfect addition to teaching he kids about manatees.

The best series ever for young readers. It is very hard to find books for young readers that are based on the natural world. The photos are beautiful, the storyline is full of accurate, interesting, scientific facts about the creatures, and has a vocabulary building review at the back of the book. And each book in this series has several upside down jokes that reference the animal, an added point of interest for Montessori and all children. BTW, I have gotten more than 30 of these titles for my classroom. Highly recommended!

Great manatee book. Bought for grandsons bday.

We have several of these National Geographic Kids books, and we're fans of the series overall. This particular title is great. The photographs are really lovely - clear and vibrant. The text is simple, but informative and interesting. Great for an animal-loving 5 year old. Perfect for a level-2 easy reader title. This is one that will get lots of re-reads in our home.

I taught a class on Manatees using this book. It is very informative and is full of beautiful images. This was a perfect book for my students.

I have a daughter obsessed with manatees, and she loved this book. It has a nice large print and is great for early readers. Almost wish it had more content though.

My four year old grandson fell in love with manatees after I took him to see them in Crystal River, Fl. This book is very informative and some of the pictures are from Crystal River. I am planning to get others in the National H=Geographic series.
