Built like a Tank :: Change GoPro screw and Media Mod fits perfectly
This thing is machined from a solid aluminum billet. Meaning it's one solid piece of aluminum with no seams or bolt together construction. It looks like it's been brushed or peened to a very nice matte finish. It has several 1/4" and 3/8" mounting holes all over it and two cold shoe mounts with stops. My only "complaint", and it's not MOVO's fault, is in mounting a GoPro with the Media Mod installed. (please note the Media Mod from GoPro is not waterproof). The GoPro screws you would normally use are just too big on the thumb end and cause your camera to tighten down all angled from the mount. However, if you want a solid, easy to get on-track handling system...simply buy a replacement screw for the GoPro mounting. A package of three Stainless Steel bolts plus nylon washers costs about $2.00 from any hardware store, M5-.80 x 20 is the bolt\thread size. See picture... You only need one of each, but like NASA it's nice to have a spare :) Hey bottom line...this thing is a tank and feels very nice in the hand. Buy it, you'll love it. I suspect without the Media Mod and your GoPro watertight...this would be a huge blessing for video control while diving. But that's another storyline. Seriously, this one is winner! I bought this mount myself, MOVO had zero to do with this review. It's just a good piece of equipment, well done.

GoPRo Diving Rig
This grip is great, little small but works like a charm..lots of attachment points (cold shoes, 1/4-20 threads, cutouts for ropes) When camera is squared up with the arm there is a problem to push the shutter button, but I tilted my camera and lights forward and all works awesome. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0734772HY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Here is a photo of my underwater rig, all parts bought here in Amazon. Lights work great pretty, bright, battery lasts at least 1.5h. If you have a GoPro 3 you have spares. I had them on 30ft without any leakage. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BCC4VQW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Light cold shoes mounts - all aluminum, sturdy well made. Don't get the plastic ones, they fell apart very second I tried to attach them to the grip. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0183JT776/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Off brand GoPro housing came with 3 filters for different types of water. Good case no leaks, not as polished as GoPro case, but for half the price with filters, no brainer, and you don't have to take of the GoPro lens cover while putting the camera in the case. https://www.amazon.com/FitStill-Waterproof-Protective-Anti-Fog-Accessories/dp/B07Q3514X6/ref=sr_1_20?keywords=gopro+dive+housing+with+filters&qid=1564761881&s=gateway&sr=8-20 Lynyrd - safely attaches your camera rig to BCD, good quality, no worries that your rig will float away when you let go by mistake. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PVQQQGA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Good product, excellent value
*Solid product. *Works well for a Gopro plus 2 lights. *Extra mounting holes (pre threaded) means I can attach accessories easily. At first view this actually feels quite small especially when accessing the Go Pro shutter button at the top. After experimenting I found the best way is to angle the Go Pro slightly forward. This also allows room for my filter to flip up. After a number of dives I am very pleased with this product. I did not like the wrist strap so I replaced it with a marine grade bolt snap so I can clip it off on my d rings when I need to be "hands free"

Great for diving, could use improvements
Great small cage. I purchased for use of my GoPro Hero7, while diving. The reviews on this product really helped guide me in the direction I wanted to. So let's break this down for future buyers. We will start with the one big flaw. Size. It's a little to short IMO to use the shutter button with the supersuit equipped. It's also maybe a little to narrow to get a solid grip around the handle without pushing the camera around. As others within these reviews have done, I overcame these issues by adding and arm to the base of the camera. I will tell you though, I absolutely love the compact size while diving. It's not to large that it's over burdening or clumsy while diving. 1 inch taller, 2 inches wider I would have given 5 stars. Weight. Its heavy enough to where it feels like a very solid unit. Not so much it has thrown my buoyancy off. And obviously its negatively buoyant. I havent seen any signs of the rust thus far on the screw as mentioned in other reviews. I have completed 2 saltwater dives off a boat with it going straight into clea fresh water each time and a final soak and rinse when I got home. The finish is nice and all the edges are rounded. No issues with any of the threaded holes as of yet. The cold shoe receivers fit snug. And the lanyard holes are great. The lanyard that is comes with is poor quality, but I had no intention of using it when I made the purchase anyways. The GoPro tripod mount that it comes with does the job but its plastic, which i find odd when you are order an aluminum setup. I plan on replacing it with an aluminum which are a bit shorter and may remove the need for the arm. I'll update if it corrects the shortfalls. All in all, a great budget friendly diving cage. The guys at the dive shop were impressed.

Great and Inexpensive Setup
The rig looks great and is lightweight. The screw that is used to attach the GoPro simply needs to be tightened with a screwdriver an order to keep it tight enough to not allow the camera to swivel. Hand tightening wasn’t enough. I also purchased 2 of the 700 lumen MOVO led lights and used them both at the same time. I just got back from a trip to Jamaica for a week and everything held up great for 12 dives with no issues ever. For the price, you aren’t going to find better.

Good build quality, but need to find a work around if you use Flip filters
This is a nice, relatively inexpensive tray mount for my gopro Hero 11 in a supersuit housing for use in scuba diving. However, if you use Flip filters from Backscatter, you cannot open the flip filters all the way to put them in their fixed, open position if you used the supplied center mount (due to filter interference with the tray mount handles). You cannot easily move the mount to one of the holes drilled to the side because they are drilled as 1/4-20 screws (as opposed to the supplied conventional countersunk photo mount screw for the center position with a slot that can be turned with a quarter). I worked around this by buying a 1/2 inch 1/4-20 stainless steel screw to use one of the adjacent screw positions—but because the length wasn’t quite right (too long if you try to use a 3/4 inch screw and a little too sort if you use a 1/2 screw), I resorted to using JB-weld epoxy glue to affix the gopro mount securely. I just took it on a 10 day diving trip and it worked like a charm. I would give 5 stars if the adjacent mounts were all configured like the center mount thus obviating the need for a workaround.

Solid frame for a GoPro Hero11 and Housing
This large version of this frame is part of my first attempt at a diving video rig. I added a couple of 1" ball ends from MINIFOCUS and some clamps from WLPREOE to hold a pair of Orcatorch D530V lights. The frame is solid, has a ton of attachment points, and is easy to hold and manipulate. The captive screw for connection to the GoPro housing mount is a nice feature, but like some other users I had a bit of an issue with the camera rotating if bumped. I'm going to add a couple of holes or a pin to help keep the mount facing straight forward. Overall I'm very happy with this unit and will continue to use it on future dive trips. For anyone looking to assemble a video setup on a budget, get higher power lights! The Orcatorch D530V is a nice light, solid, and appears to be well built, but it's just not bright enough for daytime shooting beyond two or three feet. Again, this is NOT a fault of the lights, I just chose poorly.
